I am impressed with the Afghanistan team, they will soon become a very good team and will gain experience and how to play in pressure and which bowler to use when ?
    Good luck.

Well Afghanistan is not out of the tournament yet. Their next match is with Bangladesh and I think they will win. Afghan bowlers were amazing, but they really need patience when they are batting.

Don't make a fool out of yourself. No Afghan citizen has hatred/resentment towards a Pakistani citizen. Not even the average. Most of the hate is towards the military/spy agency. Try to think before you pass such ridiculous generalizations. No Pakistani hates 30 million Afghan and no Afghan hates every single of the 170 million Pakistanis; the enemies of both people would like to think that however. This is so insanely stupid. The problem is foreign policy on both sides. The average Afghan/Pakistani doesn't have time for such "resentment" they are just trying to make a living.

Anyways, great game. Mohammad Nabi needs to move up.

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

This was a bit of a conflicting match for me I really wanted Pakistan to win but I didn't want Afghanistan to lose either. If I support any team after Pakistan, it will probably be Sri Lanka or Afghanistan.

Regarding todays match; Afghanistan has now emerged as an extremely competitive side but going from a competitive side to a side that can win matches regularly it will need work. Some changes that can immediately work are dropping 3 - 4 guys in the current lineup who have atrocious strike rates and bringing in the young guns. If you blood the youngsters now, in 3~4 years they will have gained enough experience to rattle any top side.

Afghan U19 team in a span of three months has beaten AUS, SA, SL and PAK U19 teams. All these teams bar SL qualified to semifinals and finals of UC19 WC.

          Afghan XI review

Shahzad - Good opener, excellent wicket keeper has good SR but NEEDS to play out the first ten overs or even first 5!

Noor Ali - Decent but that strike rate needs to improve, ate up 15 overs today to score 40 odd runs.

Stanikzai - Needs to be dropped, if you guys keep playing this guy especially in this tournament he will make sure Afghanistan has no way of getting anywhere near the run rate. He took 21 overs to score 40 odd runs, meaning he took almost half the overs available to Afghanistan to achieve 249 to score just 40 runs.

Nawroz & Nabi - Excellent players, a very solid middle to lower order pair. Nawroz needs to go one down and Nabi should be batting up the order as well.

Najibullah - Useless player, if you are coming that low down the order you need to make sure atleast your strike rate isnt in the gutter.

Shenwari - My favorite player in Afghanistan team cuz he looks like my uncle, also an extremely valuable all rounder.

Rest of the bowling brigade is doing excellent enough to leave them be.

            Good Analysis Talal.

I also felt like the Nabi was unnecessarily given "out"; I mean the benefit of doubt should remain with the batsman. He was looking dangerous.

The ball was clipping leg stumps, thats a regulation decision in cricket. Even if that had been reviewed in case of DRS it would still have been umpire's original call.

There are some good players in the Afghan team. Some of them play in our Dhaka League. Bowlers are good; fielding is not. Batting needs improvement particularly. At the moment the team shows that it lacks experience. But looking at the individual players, the Afghan team will eventually become one of the top.

If the Afghan cricket team wants to be a world class team and attain test status then it has to build cricket infrastructure at the grass root level, it also should promote the game among non-Pashtuns in Afghanistan, that way team Afghanistan would have the support of all it's citizens not just the ones that speak Pashto.

Yes Afghanistan has started recently But still just looking at their fielding.

I believe their fielding already is on the level of Big team.Bowling is also Good. But they lack at batting in long formats like ODI.

Afghanistan has the potential to become or beat Bangladesh cricket team in a matter of few years.

But as someone said. You need to develop and promote it throughout your country. In Pakistan from Khunjerab to Karachi,Everyone single boy getting adult does go through years of cricket playing.

Pakistan has lot more potential but the PCB is not sincere in the selection.Such as we have lost so many Good players because of PCB be it danish kaneria or the early retirement of saqlain mushtaq.

Even under similar condition Afghanistan has the potential to become a big team within a short span

Congratulations to Sri Lanka, a lost against you guys doesn't feel bad at all extremely well played and well deserved.

Pakistan, win or lose you guys will always be champions in my heart. Take heart cuz you guys made it in to the finals and best of luck for the World T20.

Afghanistan, one of the brightest teams to have come through on the International cricket arena. Extremely well done and best of luck for the Worldcup.

India, Kohli once again showing why he not only has all the qualities to be one of the greatest of all time cricketers but also the capability to lead as well. India's future is bright as far as skill is concerned, not much praise for what their board is doing to the game itself.

Bangladesh, I have never seen a team blessed with a more dedicated fan base. I cannot in all honesty call your team the tigers but it is your fans who deserve that title, I truly hope you guys come good in the world T20 we all know you can do it. And a massive thank you for showing overwhelming support to Pakistan.
