Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Wow! Do you think Pak or Afg have a fair shot at winning this thing?

It is really exciting because all these blokes are very talented youngsters and to be honest I think Afghanistan can win it if they believe they can win.

Going into the tournament I think India are favorites as they won the last one. So who knows, may the best team win !

They are still in the mix, Australia is playing Bangladesh today, if australia loses to BD then they are out and Afghanistan goes to the quarterfinals.

Australia is playing pretty poor and there is a good chance bangladesh will beat them today. It all depends on the outcome of todays game

Afghanistan won heavily against Namibia qualified to quarterfinal.

They will play South Africa in quarterfinal.

                          Congrats.

Namibia is a pretty weak team, no?

What about South Africa? What are the Afghan prospects? Are they favored to lose or win?

The big teams are the test teams. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, New Zealand, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

The world cup is being played in UAE so the playing conditions suits more the Asian teams then teams from other continents. Because pitch conditions in Pak, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are similar to UAE.

Zimbabwe, New Zealand and Bangladesh of the big teams did not make it to next round.

Afghanistan are playing quarterfinals against South Africa. South Africa is like Barcelona and Afghanistan can be compared to Villarreal or Valencia. Means that Afghanistan is by no means without any chance, but they are not favorit. If Afghan players kick and play well on the day they can win. Also the conditions suits Afghanistan more then SA. I am optimistic and think we can win. However South Africa has not lost any games yet. They won all games in their group.
