• Afghanistan vs Bhutan SAFF Championships 2013 02/09/13 Live Stream

Will start in exactly 8 hours from this post.
Be sure to watch!

In the 2011 SAFF Championships we destroyed Bhutan winning 8-1 (the greatest win of that entire tournament).
Let's see if we can emulate that success this time.

Bhutan sounds like a country where they don't know anything about Islam.

Can't wait Haris -- I can't wait.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Half-time. Almost every shot was from the Afghan side.
They are dominating the game but they are hardly playing at their best. Various regular players aren't on the pitch which is understandable given they they are playing against one of the worst footballing countries in the world.

The pitch isn't in great condition as it was raining earlier.
Also the commentator is completely useless. How about you start commentating on the match rather than giving useless information.. Only about 5% of what he said has been actual commentary.

Did you watch the game? Afghans were getting toyed around in the beginning of the 2nd half, in fact, Bhutan could've even drawn the game had the great Afghan goal keeper not defended his turf. Compared to how Afghans whooped Bhutan a couple of years ago, this performance was sub-par at best.

I agree with you Admin Khan
I, too, was not pleased with our performance.

The first half was good but in the second they were slacking.
A lack of co-ordination coupled with sloppy passes meant that they were giving away possession far too easily. Bhutan had improved in the second half.

The match could have been very different had Bhutan's penalty gone in.
Fortunately we scored soon after that penalty and that gave us some momentum but really, I expected better.

The 3-0 win looks good statistically but realistically it is only satisfactory.
That said, we had various players out of this game as it was only Bhutan afterall.
We will take the 3 points and move on. We can't however afford to make the same mistakes in our next matches as all the other teams are better than Bhutan.
