love among decent afghans is dictated by things that are beyond the mans control. if a girl knows her family will not accept the guy based on his family or other things beyond his control, he has no chance. most of a khastegari is based on bs, and girls are conditioned to reject decent guys if they know the family will reject them.

i know what you mean but there are cases and now a days most afghan families accept you getting married with someone you have chosen as long as the guys/girl is not too over the top "different" if u know what i mean lol

i think the concept of love is very hard to understand...
im guessing it take a lot to "love" someone unconditionally...maybe thats the reason people dont understand it, most afghans are too umm how do i say this with out sounding bad lol... >>selfish<< maybe?

now a days everyone wants a guy thats wealthy with a job, home (full package) and over the top pretty girls for their sons.. i mean some dowery that my cuzins have paid are really not worth that much... but what can i say these are our standards now:-/
