I. Four men, whom we shall call Robert, Ralph, Ronald, and Rudolph, were playing cards one evening. As a result of a quarrel during the course of the game, one of these men shot and killed another. From the facts below determine the murder and the victim.
Rudolph had known Ronald for only five days prior to the murder.
Robert will not expose his brother's guilt.
Rudolph has been released from jail on the day of the murder, after serving a three day sentence.
Ralph met Robert's father only once.
Robert had wheeled Ralph, a cripple, to the card game at Ronald's home.
The host is about to give evidence against the murderer, whom he dislikes.
The murdered man had eaten dinner on the previous evening with one of the men who did not customarily bowl with Ronald.
Robert isn't the killer because his brother is guilty.
Ralph isn't the killer because he only met Robert's father once (so is unlikely to be his brother).
Ronald isn't the killer because he is about to give evidence against him.
So the killer is Rudolph.
Robert isn't the victim because his brother is guilty (and he doesn't want to expose him).
Ronald isn't the victim because he's about to give evidence against the killer.
Rudolph isn't the vicstim because he is the killer.
So the victim is Ralph.---

own inclinations and desires.

Robert knows, but remains silent about the murder.
Rudolph is released that day, serving three days.
Ralph mets Roberts dad once.
Robert wheels Ralph to Ronald's house.
The host (Ronald) to give evidence to whom he dislikes
The dead man ate dinner with a man who disliked Ronald.
Robert isn't a killer; his brother Rudolph is. Ronald does not like Rudolph so he's ready to be a witness against him. Robert isn't the victim, as Randolph is his brother. Ronald is alive to give evidence, which leaves Ralph to be the victim.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Any critical thinkers, willing to give their inputs?
and its not ralph because if ralph was roberts brother then he would have most likely known his father...
so that leaves ronald and rudolf
the card game is at rondald's house so ronald doesnt like the killer so it cant be rondald. So the killer must be rudolf...

oh you already answered it
there are flaws though
Robert and Ralph could be brothers who grew up in different house holds for some reason so mabey ralph only met his father once, and it says robet will not expose his brother's guilt, that doesnt mean he doesnt want to.. it just means he wont, if he's dead then he cant so he wont LOL
