  • Sri Lanka sent in, Dananjaya included

Toss Australia chose to field v Sri Lanka

George Bailey won the toss and sent Sri Lanka in to bat in the second Twenty20 at the MCG, the final match of Sri Lanka's tour. Both teams made one change after Saturday's match in Sydney, with the teenage spinner Akila Dananjaya included for his first match of the series as a replacement for the batsman Lahiru Thirimanne, who has an ankle injury.
Australia brought the left-arm fast bowler James Faulkner in for his first international match of the summer and he will take the place of Ben Cutting. The inclusion of Faulkner means he will need to play this game and make a quick trip to Canberra in time to play in tomorrow's Prime Minister's XI match against West Indies. The seamer Ben Laughlin was given another chance despite leaking runs in the first match.
Australia 1 David Warner, 2 Aaron Finch, 3 Shaun Marsh, 4 George Bailey (capt), 5 Adam Voges, 6 Matthew Wade (wk), 7 Glenn Maxwell, 8 James Faulkner, 9 Mitchell Starc, 10 Xavier Doherty, 11 Ben Laughlin.
Sri Lanka 1 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 2 Kushal Perera, 3 Dinesh Chandimal (wk), 4 Mahela Jayawardene, 5 Angelo Mathews (capt), 6 Jeevan Mendis, 7 Thisara Perera, 8 Nuwan Kulasekara, 9 Lasith Malinga, 10 Ajantha Mendis, 11 Akila Dananjaya.
Bismillah, alhamdulillah, all praises due to Allah and may Allah increase the honor of Prophet Muhammad and protect our nation from any harm.
