This thread (being the organic things that threads are) is likely to spin off in another direction, so apologies in advance.

I guess there are a million sources on the internet, but an interesting read is http://www.north-korea-travel.com/ - you can see that there is some restraint on this site. They acknowledge North Korea's secrecy and they appear to not to want to offend the regime.

An interesting read would be around Juche - North Korea's official "religion"/ideology. It is built around self-reliance and love of the Supreme Leader and Eternal President. (One edict, for example was that North Koreans wear a compulsory pin to symbolise their love of their leadership).

There's a blog - not updated for a while - and I wonder if it's a spoof, but you get a flavour of the Korean-America hate here, including this wierd pic of smiling Americans drowning Korean babies in a well.

Which team do you support and who will win?

I am supporting Holland since Afghanistan didn't qualify. I love their style of playing and they deserve a world cup trophy by now.

Holland suffers from a problem for ages now. Their soccer players are very good. But they all play at prestigious clubs around the world. So they feel like they are too good and can't really put their egos aside for the benefit of their national team. Therefore they will never win an international tournament as a collective.

Just look at the past 16 years. They had the best teams every World Cup. Yet, they alwasy lost at the end.
