Toss Sialkot Stallions chose to bowl v Hampshire
An hour and a half prior to the start time, this match didn't look possible. Heavy rain forced the opening match of the evening - between Trinidad & Tobago and Uva Next - to be abandoned after completing only one innings. The skies had cleared up and the Wanderers' superior drainage meant that the toss for the second game wasn't delayed. It was an inconsequential game for the teams, both already having been eliminated from the tournament after losing their opening matches.
Shoaib Malik won the toss and decided to put Hampshire in to bat, on the same surface in which T&T posted 181. They made just one change, bringing in the fast bowler Umaid Asif for Qaiser Abbas. Hampshire had a new captain, Jimmy Adams, filling in for the injured Dimitri Mascarenhas. Kabir Ali was the other player to sit out. They drafted in fast bowlers David Balcombe and David Griffiths.
Sialkot Stallions: Imran Nazir, Shakeel Ansar (wk), Haris Sohail, Shahid Yousuf, Shoaib Malik (capt), Ali Khan, Naved-ul-Hasan, Bilawal Bhatti, Raza Hasan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Umaid Asif
Hampshire: Michael Carberry, James Vince, Jimmy Adams (capt), Sean Ervine, Glenn Maxwell, Shahid Afridi, Liam Dawson, Chis Wood, Michael Bates (wk), David Balcombe, David Griffiths
