  • Kamran Akmal returns as Pakistan bat

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and chose to bat first against Australia in the first ODI in the draining heat of Sharjah.
The Pakistan attack has dual pace provided by Sohail Tanvir and Aizaz Cheema, alongside the spin of Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez.
Australia dropped the left-arm spinner Xavier Doherty in favour of the allround skills of Dan Christian, leaving the slow bowling duties to the part-timers Glenn Maxwell, David Hussey, David Warner and the captain Michael Clarke.
The task of fielding first means that the wicketkeeper Matthew Wade may bat down the order in the second innings, depending on how drained he is by the effort of keeping wicket.
Pakistan: 1 Mohammad Hafeez, 2 Kamran Akmal (wk), 3 Nasir Jamshed, 4 Azhar Ali, 5 Umar Akmal, 6 Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), 7 Asad Shafiq, 8 Shahid Afridi, 9 Sohail Tanvir, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Aizaz Cheema
Australia: 1 Matthew Wade (wk), 2 David Warner, 3 Michael Clarke (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 David Hussey, 6 George Bailey, 7 Glenn Maxwell, 8 Daniel Christian, 9 Mitchell Johnson, 10 Mitchell Starc, 11 James Pattinson
Bismillah, alhamdulillah, all praises due to Allah and may Allah increase the honor of Prophet Muhammad and protect our nation from any harm.
