  • Mumbai bat; Ryder, Perera return

Harbhajan Singh decided to bat, which was what Sourav Ganguly said he would have done as well. Mumbai Indians changed their opening combination for the umpteenth time this season, with James Franklin slotted to partner Sachin Tendulkar at the top. Richard Levi, who opened in the previous game against Deccan Chargers, was left out in place of Sri Lankan allrounder Thisara Perera. Pragyan Ojha was included as well, in place of RP Singh, making it three spinners in the Mumbai Indians attack.
Pune Warriors welcomed back Jesse Ryder, who had missed the previous match against Chargers with an illness, in place of Marlon Samuels. Ashok Dinda also came back, for Manish Pandey, after sitting out five games with an injury. Warriors have lost five of their last six matches and will need their full-strength XI to fire today.
Pune Warriors: Jesse Ryder, Michael Clarke, Sourav Ganguly (capt), Steven Smith, Robin Uthappa (wk), Mithun Manhas, Wayne Parnell, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Murali Kartik, Ashish Nehra, Ashok Dinda
Mumbai Indians: James Franklin, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Ambati Rayudu, Thisara Perera, Robin Peterson, Harbhajan Singh (capt), Lasith Malinga, Pragyan Ojha, Munaf Patel
Bismillah, alhamdulillah, all praises due to Allah and may Allah increase the honor of Prophet Muhammad and protect our nation from any harm.
