  • Afghan U16 team qualifies for elite cup -- Afghanistan U16 vs China

Afghanistan under-16 cricketers, continuing their winning spree, on Wednesday humiliated China by 349 runs in the Asia Challenge Cup in Thailand, officials said.
Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesman Nusratullah Wafa told Pajhwok Afghan News the Chinese collapsed like a house of cards for only nine runs in the 9th over of the utterly one-sided match.
The Afghan skipper won the toss and chose to bat in the 40 overs game, posting a massive total of 358 runs for the loss of four wickets. Tariq Khan scored his career-best 83, followed by Pervaiz Khan with 79, Abdul Sabur with 68, Imran with 51 and Javed with 36.
Chasing the target, China were bundled out for nine, handing Afghanistan an easy victory -- thanks to Navin-ul-Haq’s five-wicket haul. Wafa said Haq was declared the Man of the Match. Shafiullah Muhammad took three wickets.
ACB Chief Executive Nasimullah Danish said the Afghan U-16 team had qualified for the Elite Cup to be played in Malaysia by winning the match against China. He congratulated the nation on yet another outstanding performance of the team.
Afghanistan previously trounced the Maldives, Bhutan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the tournament being played in the Chiang Mai city of Thailand. The event involves Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, China, the Maldives, Qatar and Bhutan.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

i wonder when they are going to use afghanistan as their home grounds. i know they have been using sharjah, i think, as their home base with the blessings of the uae. they have a new field in nangarhar and kabul, but if i had to guess id say other teams wouldn't want to play there because of security.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Same problem in Pakistan. Our countries really need to deal with the terrorism threat before we can do anything useful.

This is what. This war on terror is costing lives and immense financial hardships. Yet its difficult to say whether the Taliban will stop killing innocents if the foreign forces leave.

The chinese team scored only 9 runs and 6 of them were extras

That must be the lowest score ever in any form of the game.
