3-1

That's exactly the scoreline that I was predicting as well.
Will watch the match soon.---

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Extremely proud of the lads!
The first goal was a mistake and should not have happened. A misjudgement on Sakhizada's part but Ahmadi more than made up for it in the 22nd minute with an amazing shot, easily the best goal of the tournament. 35 minutes into the match and Ahmadi delivers again capitalising on the cross given by Kohistani after Arzou failed to get at it. You can really see their passion as they celebrated just after that goal.
Then in the 77th minute Yamir Ali heads the ball into the back of the net from a corner by Fakhruddin. In the 84th minute another shot just missed the goal, courtesy of Bilal Arzou although it was commendable given that he was outnumbered by 4 Sri Lankans there lol. Then just before the 91st minute Arzou tried again hitting the side of the goal.
Sri Lanka foolishly wasted their substitutions early in the match and it showed.
I have to say, Bilal Arzou looked a bit off-point today missing a few chances although you cannot fault his dedication. He scored the goal against India so i'm sure we can expect more from him in the coming matches.
My conclusion? We have a solid defence, a decent striking team and an excellent mid-field. Our players are faster, taller & younger than most others & we have a passion even with our supporters that is unmatched. The prospects are looking good for the 'lions of Khorasan'.
Seeing Kohistani's missing fingers made me sad, great to know that we have such dedicated people representing our country.
All in all, a well deserved win for the Afghans.
Bhutan on wednesday, bring it on.---
