Are we talking Tests, ODIs or T20s?

[Karachi]

^ ODI or tests would be better since they are classics, T20 is too new

[Karachi]

^ yes he is, he is only white guy in the team lol

How about single-handedly winning a final? Sachin against the Aussies in Sharjah...!

[KhalsaWarrior]

Or the magnificent 241 against the Aussies in Sydney. Against Lee, Gillespie and Mcgrath..!

And the most incredible part about this innings was that he didnt play a single cover drive..! He had been out twice in that tour playing the cover drive and Sachin decided not to play one in this one. Can you imagine batting for more than 4 hours, scoring 241 and all the time having the mental fortitude to resist the temptation of playing a shot that is bread and butter for so many batsmen around the world?

VVS Laxman, second-innings 281 against Australia in Eden Gardens.

Why did they drop him?

Laxman, from the one-day squad? Well he was considered a bad fielder and a slow runner. He is a brilliant slip fielder but he can often come up short when compared to the other younger guys. I think he has been out of the one-day team since 2002. Dravid, Ganguly and Kumble were axed in 2008.
