one should marry the best person not on the basis of race...
as for backwardness a certain individual on this forum (no names mentioned) thinks of himself as an educated enlightened individual... he will happily be a racist bigot towards arabs and be discriminatory towards shias but when his own ilk are spoken of in a negative manner he gets all worked up and cant accept it... his people have no schools, have a talib culture, oppress women, their "pashtu" is completely different... they have ni infrastructure.... they are loyal to Pakistan a nation which has bombed the hell out if them...this and other things makes them backwards
