I don't know wether this section is appropriate for this kind of thread but I thought it may be suitable. I am fascinated very much by mountains and wilderness...and intend to live in mountains may be in Shangla Par, or Chitral, or Gilgit...
Going to a mountainous regions has always been an invigorating experience for me ...Have been to Marri, Galyat, Kaghan, Naran, Kalam, Madiyan, etc. almost countless number of times...Have also been to Hunza, Gilgit, Sakardu(Baltistan), etc. My friends went on tracking from Chitral to Swat via Kohistan and they were so excited about that tour. It took them a couple of days to cross to Swat.
The one thing I like very much iare restraunts when you are on way to Swat or any other destination...Just ahead of Batkhela, there is a nice Afghan restraunt that I like a lot taking food in...Another point is just ahead of Sokai (Chakdara) and short Thanra ...there is samll restraunt by the roadside towards river Swat where you can have nice tea and fish...Ahead of Fizza Gat (Mingora, Swat) and short of Mangalawar is a nice hotel by the riverside...We used to sit there till late in night when there was peace...
I wish to go the base Nanga Parbat base camp...especially want to stay for a night at Fairy Meadows. Below is an image of Nanga Parbat and Fairy Meadows....and wikipedia article about it...just wanted to share it with you people...

Nanga Parbat (Urdu: ننگا پربت [nəŋɡaː pərbət̪]) is the ninth highest mountain on Earth. Nanga Parbat translates to "Naked Mountain" in English; parbat deriving from the Sanskrit word parvata meaning "mountain, rock", and nanga an Urdu word meaning "naked"[2]. Known as the "Killer Mountain," Nanga Parbat was one of the deadliest of the eight-thousanders for climbers in the first half of the twentieth century; since that time it has been less so, though still an extremely serious climb. It is also an immense, dramatic peak that rises far above its surrounding terrain.
