  • The Child In You?

Surely you also must have those moments where you tell yourself 'wow, grow up man/woman!', because of some very childish moments or habits you have. Right? Just yesterday I, the married one who is in her twenties, had such a moment. My sister fell asleep downstairs on the sofa and I told her to go and sleep in her bed, which she didn't. And just to tease her, I brought literally all the blankets we had in our house from upstairs, and put it on my sister. In total it were like 20 blankets and all of a sudden my sister woke and asked 'why does my body feel so heavy'? LOL, I know I know, that was a sad action!

I would like you guys to share your childish moments so I realize I am not the only one losing my mind. At times. :D

Once upon a time, I grabbed peanut butter and the little clown that I was, I began spreading it all over our door step. I loved keys as well, don't ask me why. :-)
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

My 4 year old cousin was munching on fish fingers and she held hers far out behind her head while she was watching telly, I just being stood there couldn't resist putting that in my mouth. By the time she went for the second bite, there was nothing there! Her poor mum had to go and make her another set of fish fingers LOLL

If you mean "grow up" in the way that the child in us is 100% gone, then I would say no. But we all have different degrees of child-likeness as well as childish behaviors in us, some more some less. Maybe it depends a little on what life dishes out to you, because survival is important to most if not all of us, so sometimes we have to grow up faster in order to survive.

for myself I think it is sad, that that which I like in myself, that may be termed childish, I usually do not other than on rare occasions like the same thing in someone else....yes rare are the moments when 2 "grown-ups" are equally childish together blending in perfectly, more often it seems when one person is acting childishly (which is often more irritating than "child-like" than the other person behaves more grown-up, as if we always needed some balance.

Yes, it happens. Sometimes, I disconnect my brain and start rolling on the floor for no reason while babbling some nonsense.
