  • Enough with the "Definition of a Pashtun" threads

I’m pretty fed up with all these recurring topics that attempt to address issues concerning the definition of a Pashtun. Do you people not see how much of a waste of time these discussions are? Our people are in such a critically important point in their history, that it literally is make it or break it for Pashtuns. I fear that by the time these “intellects” figure out the definition of a Pashtun, there won’t be any more Pashtuns left to designate it to.

One practically important issue why these topics should be avoided is because everyone participating in these considers them self an expert. Let me tell you people: you do not sound intelligent propagating archaic definitions of race and ethnicity such as “if your father is this, then you are this as well.” It sounds absolutely ridiculous in this day and age.

All you will get from this is negativity. There will be some kid out there whose mother is Pashtun but father is not. That person might speak Pashto fluently, and completely identify with Pashtun culture. So who are you to tell them that they are not Pashtun. They might be doing far more for the Pashtun people than you could ever dream of doing.

Similarly, if a Pashtun man married a black African woman, would their children honestly be considered Pashtuns by the majority of the rest? I highly doubt it. Many Pashtuns are pathetically racist and are unlikely to accept people even a few shades darker than themselves as their own. No matter how dark a Pashtun might be them self, they will always consider someone darker to be inferior.

Taking these things into consideration, I really doubt that the people propagating these topics are even Pashtun themselves. A genuine Pashtun would not want his/her people to wallow in the same futile thoughts all the time, and they would want them to prosper and reach new heights.

So please, I implore you: stop repeatedly initiating topics of this sort. Those of you who do this do not understand how you are taking your nation towards doom.

PS: Admin Khan wror, please consider placing some kind of cap on topics like these. It will be much better for our forums as a whole.

this is a nationalist forum where majority of members I have talked to are racially biased and have prejudices against people from other tribes and ethnicities.

So it is only natural to see thousands of threads where people give themselves virtual orgasm by praising their own ethnicity.

give it a rest all of you, u dont like something move on..for every pointless thread there three more pointless threads criticizing the original one.

            Come now squire.

You have no need to read the thread of the constitution of Pashtunism if you do not want to.

Force is not being used here.

            Ideas are welcome.

What does it matter if we're Pashtuns or not when contributing on a forum?

I for one, do not believe Pashtuns to be anymore racist than anyone else.

I could say that I have the feeling you might not be a Pashtun because you describe Pashtuns in such a negative way.

But I don't, since there is no way to verify what anyone is or not.

It should not matter what you are anyway, and there is no way of checking who anyone is. Pashto is not an impossible language to pick up and speaking in broken Pashto (or even fluent) does not mean you've spent a day of your life mingling with Pashtuns.

            Do not fear the unknown.

Learn to conquer your fear which is all part of growing up
