  • why are "extremists" living in West such hypocrites?

    hyp·o·crite

    /ˈhɪpəkrɪt/ Show Spelled[hip-uh-krit]
–noun 1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

    2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements

Everyone who visits this forum has read countless posts about the "infidel imperialistic Western colonialists' by a few "extremists". So when SOME of these same "extremists" praise the movies made by these "infidel imperialistic Western colonialists' or praise the comedians of these "filthy vulgar societies" (who often joke about vulgar and haram things) I cannot help but think that the "extremists" are either just pretending (I guess they think it's funny) or they are confused hypocrites.

^oo..oo...oo...i've got the answer. *puts his hand up*

In the West they can flirt with leaving Islam without being killed.
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

        Because it's easy.
You live a beautiful life with all the benefits you can possibly get that you then complain about in every possible way you can.

        Fun stuff.

We're all hypocrites to an extent and yes these people do go overboard ..But they don't live in these countries as distinguished guests, they earn their food and they pay their taxes to get all these services...The way your putting it makes it look as if these people are living off of the western society, no they work for it..If they don't like the ideals of the society and they want to voice their hatred how does it make them a hypocrite especially when the society gives them freedom to express their own ideology ?

By your logic all the people who are from pakistan and speak against it are hypocrites too ?

Now try and look again at the definition of 'hypocrites' that you provided.

I don't agree with these people at all nor with their ideals but I also know that it doesn't give me a right to issues fatwas on other people..Callin someone a hypocrite is a serious statement, one that can easily backfire

Most of these extremists living in the West don't appreciate the freedoms they have because they've never been deprived of them. They hear their Salafi preachers talking about a Shari'ah-based Utopia and they think it's the best thing in the world. What they fail to realize is that their Utopia is so unrealistic, it has never been even been applicable in the real world.

They have a functional government that didn't just come out of thin air, people sacrificed to make it what it is today, they have mostly honest policemen, a justice system that actually works, freedom to study what they want, freedom to speak their minds without being killed for it (which is something you can't even dream of doing under Salafi Shari'ah), a system where you are not discriminated against because of your religion and many other things that they have but don't appreciate. Anyone remember the documentary "Undercover Mosque"?

They benefit from Marxist/Socialist ideals and get free healthcare, public transport, public schools and universities among other public initiatives and then they turn around and bite the hand that feeds them.

Ideals such as justice, equality, freedom, love, brotherhood, kindness, charity and benevolence are neither Western liberal democratic ideals nor Islamic principles - they are, instead, universal amongst all the human beings of the world. The West has, by and large, striven towards and achieved these principles to a great extent whereas the constitutionally-defined Islamic countries (KSA, Iran, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc) are, in some cases, working against these principles. It's no wonder that so many people are taking political asylum from the Muslim world to the 'kafir' West and not viceversa.

When Bachaa Khan called for brotherhood, peace and nonviolence, he didn't call for "Socialism" or "Western liberalism" - he called for us to become human beings. It's no wonder that the clergy still maligns him because it is the biggest enemy of humanity on the planet.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

ek minute mo mein paan hain[washes mouth] /Levanaye Zalmaye

This reminds of this time there was this American flag on someone's car. On the flag there was this text that said "If you have a problem with me[the flag] call this number 1-800-leave-USA. Oh and the driver appeared to be either Korean or Chinese. It wasn't a traditional white man as you would call it. Blind patriotism? Loyalty to a nation? Or was it just simply not being a hypocrite and him paying respect to the land that puts food in his stomach.

Jadakiss once said, "Don't bite the hand that feed's you".
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

See, many of these people enjoy the convenient socialism in Europe, or sit in America and pop out 12 children to get welfare and live off of it. But sure, like Talal wror pointed out, many do live of their own work. However, they have no respect for a government that allows them to live at peace in a country they decided to live in. And I think this is what is implied by "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

Sure, I don't agree with many/most American international policies, I may disagree with certain American standards in economy or society, I didn't agree with internal politics in Germany, social norms, blah blah blah.. but at the end of the day, I am well aware of the fact that if I were brought up where my parents came from I would not be the individual I am today. I cannot live in America, receive government money, finance its political activities with my taxes and THEN proceed to bash every little aspect there is about it just for the damn sake of complaining. Because for one, that's ingratitude and for another, it's hypocrisy. Because if I TRULY hated everything about this country and failed to acknowledge a single positive aspect about it, I wouldn't be living here and I'd go back running to the places that I preach about.

So yes, I live here and I hold certain views.. It doesn't mean that I am 100% Pro-American or that I am 100% Anti-American. No, this is about being rational. Yes, I do live here, that implies that I own America, including her mistakes, including her shortcomings, including her victories. I acknowledge them as an aware citizen, not as a self-hating citizen; just like I will acknowledge positive aspects about her. This is like when I clapped on Tuesday at a public debate when someone pointed out that America is the Number-1-terrorist in the world. Not because I like to hear America being bashed, but because I like to hear the truth to be spoken. It is a fact that needs to be acknowledged. But in that very same debate I pointed out that WE make this country and that 9/11 did not only hit 'them' and we were a spectator group, but that it hit ALL of us, as a nation that I am part of.

This is a rational view every citizen of the world should hold towards the government under which they live, in my opinion.
