The importance of villains
A villain (also known as the "bad guy", "black hat", or "black turban") is an "evil" character in a forum. A female villain is sometimes called a villainess (often to differentiate her from a male villain). He or she may be driven by neuroses, or the conviction that his or her "cause" or beliefs are justified. Their very existence (villains)turns ordinary forum goers who are brave enough to challenge them into forum heroes whose battles with the forum villains provides a constant source of entertainment for the masses.
According to a leading forum critic:
"Each forum is only as good as its villain. Since the heroes tend to be the same from forum to forum, only a great villain can transform a good forum into a great one. The people crave controversy and a great forum with a compelling villain or villains feeds that addiction."
According to a leading forum psychiatrist:
"The banning of villains is,typically, at first greeted with great jubilation but then is followed by a period of intense mourning. Posts become less frequent and forum members leave as many become depressed as a result of controversy withdrawal. Then just as the forum appears to be on the verge of dying (of bordem) a new villain joins or an old one is resurrected thus bringing back life and vitality into the once dying forum. It has always been this way and always will."
So ladies and gentlemen appreciate the villains and villainesses of Pashtun forums because you WILL miss them if they are gone!
