I gave a presentation last year at a local University. It was called "The Veil: Oppression or Liberation". There is so much hypocrisy in our world. Muslims are not the only ones wearing a veil. I had a friend of mine ask me why we wear them. I asked her, since she is a believing Christian, why she didn't, because in the New Testament of the Bible it says that a woman should keep her hair covered....yet most women no longer do this.
Much of our clothing is cultural not religious.
Yet the best garment is that of righteousness. 7:26
If we could only look more to that which brings us together with all of Allah's creation, instead of so often looking for that which alienates us from each other.
i remember my mumma telling me taht ladies going in a church near my house for mass a few years would go full covered and with scarves around.....
but now hardly anyone covering their body well forget abt scarves...
and very true that anybody else commits a crime or is guilty... the individual is questiones and when a muslim is charged... islam is questiond....... why???
we should ask these questions to ourselves.....as to why????????
