LOL@ paradox between the title and PS!!

All Pashtuns are beautiful, so God exists. But what about the "ugly Pashtuns"--the one not having fair skin and blue/green eyes (the only beauty standard and the most dominant one after fatness)? lol

fair skin and blue or green eyes is considered as beautiful because people associate beauty with wealth of Europeans.

Just like primitive people favor secularism because it is European, and because Europeans are rich, they assume that being secular is good for economy and well being of people.

But fair skins and bleu/green eyes are not the standard for beauty. Its only beautiful for people with an inferiority complex who seek confirmation of beauty in that which resmebles those they consider to be as superior. Europeans in this case.

I agree it is an inferiority complex.Good to know that we think all Pashtuns are beautiful. However, the truth is that for majority of the people in our part of the region, a beautiful Pashtun is the one who has light hair and eyes.Even most of the guys like to marry "speena" jinakey!lol

Honestly, light hair and eyes doesn't always refer to blonde hair and blue/green eyes (at least not when I've heard pashtuns referring to beauty)... and as far as speena goes... I used to think the same ... until a not so speena ... ghanam ranga girl got married to a much fairer guy, who comes from a pretty speen family ... and wealthy and all that good stuff. I know that's one example, but it's actually true, you don't have to be albino white to be loved

Lol@ chief of PR...no, no please keep that title away from me *runs away*. You need to dig that thread here which was about "what kind of wife you want?" (something like that). I vaguely remember there was a huge demand for fat/chubby wives plus those with great cooking skills, hahaaha...I guess curvy is not the same as chubby.Chubby is synonymous with fat (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/chubby). However, my statement was not based on that thread. The Pashtuns in KP do ask for more "roundness" (another syn).

Iqra, I was not referring to blond beauty but light pigmentation. There are variations when it comes to the pigmentation diversity in Pashtuns. Some are lighter than others.Other would be qualified as "Punjabiayaan" by Pashtun fella based on their skin-tone. Majority of the Pashtuns back home do go for "more light" skin-tone (stirctly based on my personal observations). We all have individual standards of beauty. It amazes me equally how beauty can be related to skin-tone only, but that does not negate the fact that a lot of people bring it down to physical stuff. One of my relatives was a little darker than her younger sister. The younger sister eventually got married first after the parents realized that as long as the younger sister is there, the older wouldn't get marry since the moment guy's family would see the girl's younger sister, they would change their mind. This is just one of countless examples of such attitude in our society.

Lol@ albino..life sucks for albinos. I have a cousin and he is considered "alien" in our family.Well albinos are generally a genetically recessive trait but my cute nyaa considers it as "da khuday azaab" by associating it with someone's sin (?) in our family :P
