  • What should we understand from the Floods??

I was watching a programme where people were discussing things about the flood and why is it that at the moment people are not helping as much. Like Pakistani people are not helping as much as they did in the past. Well i picked up some great points from some of the guests in that programme and it really made me think.

I remember making this point about Allah that he is the one who decides everything, but i remember some of the athiestic minded members were talking about trees and so on. That oh its due to nature that all this happened and humans if they did something could have prevented such a calamity. Who controls nature? Allah. Who decides to bring earthquakes? Allah. Who built the earth with tectonic plates? Allah. So no matter whether you bring out the science in things ultimately it is Allah who decides the matter.

No doubt humans have to struggle, like building earthquake proof buildings. By not building houses around the river and so on. But anywayz the wrath of Allah has no boundaries and it can take over anyone of us no matter what we do.

Another point to make, is what is happening in Pukhtunkhwa and Pakistan a test or a punishment from Allah????

A test is something which happens on good people whereas a punishment happens on bad people!!! This is a really important thing because we saw how the Prophet (Saw) was tested by having his close ones die, by being called names, by having to migrate from his own city and so many tests. We have the example of Yusuf (as) who was tested and many Prophets tested. Umar (ra) in his time there was famine and they were suffering so much. But remember these people were extremely pious and at the end we saw them come out of the suffering.

WE are told in surah an inshirah, ina ma'al usri yusra. From suffering comes good. Meaning like after you suffer then there will be a good outcome. But this applies to the pious people who are patient upon the right path.

Now let us see the Pukhtunkhwa society and Pakistani society?? Run by corrupt leaders who were chosen by the people in elections. Whether it is ANP or Zardari. They are anything but pious or great personalities/people. Then look at how degraded the society has become when we see videos of what happened in sialkot beating of so-called robbers to death. Bribery, fraud, corruption, lying, munafiqat, zina on the rise, un-islamic acts on the rise and so on. The society there has become so degraded and distant from what we expect from a muslim society. There is anything but good, all you hear is killing over money, kidnapping for money and zulm. Rascism, tribalism and so on. Every time you hear about a man killing his children and wife, then committing suicide. Tell me is this a test upon such people? Are they like the people who were with the Prophet (saw) like the sahabahs when they were tested?? NO WAY. They are the lowest of the low and such people will have punishments upon them and maybe even worse problems they will face in the future if they do not wake up or change their path.

The last point to make, look at the population of Pakistan. If every person in that country were to help their people, they wouldn't even need foreign money it would all be fixed by their people. People are asleep. But it comes back to the point, their people don't trust anyone and few organisations are trustworthy. People steal money even when raising it for needy people. What a shame. But anyway they just want to beg and beg, but what is the use when their nation is asleep? If they have leaders like the ones they have, well they will suffer even if there are good people amongst them.

Even if we take out the religious argument from this, why are countries like Japan ahead of muslim nations? Why are countries like Germany ahead, even though they faced the world war and Japan also faced war. The reason is their people woke up and worked hard. They sacrificed and had the work ethic, which muslims lack. This work ethic is what is enshrined in our faith. It says in a hadith that tie the camel first and then trust in Allah. We can't just make dua to Allah and say everything is Allah's will!!!

WE have to put the effort first and then trust ALLAH

An Ummah will not be changed unless the people change.

Floods are not a act of god.

Those who use the floods to emotionally blackmail pashtuns into being slaves of Mullahs should be Punished severly.

        Kind Regards
