  • another NGO

today a woman and transgender cycling event, organized by some NGO in peshawar was cancelled due to protest threat from religious parties.
the NGO 'Zamung Jwandun' is setup by a woman Wafa Wazir, and no information is available about her on social media
it seems like after the success of Gulalai ismail and her NGO, another opportunist is trying to cash on making controversies. now this cancellation will be picked up by VOA and then other western media will follow up, Wafa Wazir will start getting funds ,recognition and awards. then she will surface on twitter and will start tweeting man cruelty.

nothing wrong, there are woman in every major cities cycling on roads, and it does not take our attention even. however an organised event of transgender and woman cycling in conservative city of peshawar is to beg for a reaction willfully and bringing it to limelight. if it's ok in Peshawar, than it is also fine in every village and town, in Mohmand agency and Kandahar too. why do you think a sane person will not organize an event there too?

I was going to agree with you 100%, until i couldn't see the word "transgender" in the article. I don't know why they won't let the women do a bike-race? But i get why you're frustrated, i guess. I find it annoying too when someone trying to demonize us men, even though i don't pay attention to that stuff. And specially, according to you, when they do it for fame and money.

Also, where are you from(which country/city)?

this is what these NGO girls want, organizing and then cancelling an event will make news in west. an attention, recognition then money and free foreign tours , lecturing at seminars, some awards and become a celebrity.
