  • what would you prefer?

"Though the wealthy drink water from a golden cup, I prefer this clay bowl of mine."
    Rehman baba

So the Question is What'd you prefer ?

  • #2
You drink from your clay cup because your clay cup is all that you have. Hardly a matter of preference there. You “prefer” when you have the option between the two and you choose one.
It is in vain to think of a wilderness distance from the heart.

Clay bowl. Why would you even need a golden cup?

I would rather go to hell than drink tea or coffee from a cup that is not white or creamic.
The answer is, neither. I wouldn’t give up my car for a camel because I know it’s not practical for me just as it’s not practical for a king to drink out of a cup made of clay unless both of us were being pretinous little ****s. Walking my camel to work every morning does not make any more sense than drinking from a clay cup would, if you are living in a place.

Furthermore, being a saint is about being too occupied with worship to notice what kind of a cup one is drinking from, not about developing a preference for clay cups.

Also, the prophet did not have a cup made of gold.

Yes, of course, your holiness, saint maulana bijligar. Do you know what else the prophet didn’t do?? Refer to people as toilet paper.

                      .

For such a pragmatic and sensible person *cough*, you sound pretentious and like you're trying way too hard.

You're right, Marwat was off base calling you toulet paper, Toilet paper is too good for you.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

This has seemed to have been missed by DaZahroJam's new incarnation .

If it’s all the same, I’ll take the gold cup as long as it doesn’t have that metallic taste.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
