Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

The quality of the discourse that takes place here has gone down steeply.
I became active in 2016 , and was for most of 2017.
Initially ,many meaningful and interesting topics were discussed.
I realized with time that the most popular topics were insulting Indians , Punjabis and stupid trash talk mostly in response to the non-Pashtun trolls. Many productive members started to dissociate themselves from this forum , or at least not be as active.
I too did the same. For over six months now, I visit every once in a while without even logging in ,and I've observed that Firdousi does make threads of substance but apart from that there's not much in here.
One good thing , Indian trolls have stopped frequenting the place.

Lol!!! That is funny astute observation Mr Razor.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View PostI think this place should call it a day ....everyone has moved on with their lives except us ....
True: Firdousi and you are mathematically the modal members. I guess every thing that needed to be discussed has been discussed, every known insult has been thrown, people have been idolised, vilified, praised and humiliated, . . .. Some members have changed their guises, all facets of humanity has been shared. Looks like we do have something in common with humanity after all.
But it does remind me of a masquerade ball.
I do check posts almost every other day. Barakzai Abdali, Firdausi and you do generate enough reading material to meet the criteria of a quorum.
It ain't over till the fat lady sings.
Incidentally, this month marks my eight years here.Last edited by torkham; 08-03-2018, 10:23 AM.

On that note, DZJ is now Sikandar, not sure why she wants to change genders now, but I am not surprised .....can't comment on her singing ability.

I like this forum.
Sadly forums are nowhere near as ubiquitous as they used to be. Everyone uses Facebook/Twitter/Reddit nowadays. The first two don't work as well for serious discussion, and Reddit is full of atheist libtards and all discussions of Afghans/Pashtuns is overtaken by Indians and non-Pashtun Pakistanis.
I myself don't have as much time and patience to have serious discussions on forums as I used to, so a lot of my recent posts have just been messing around, but I've still been visiting this site and reading the serious posts of people like Firdousi, khushal, and Barakzai daily.
It would be sad to see the forum die. Inshallah it stays around and finds another period of strong activity.

Personally, I've vacillated between serious posting and sh*t-posting ....sometimes I'll mix it up just for kicks.
to me forums are the "older generation" ..Reddit and Twitter are all so recent, I never had an inclination towards them.

This forum helped me to change my opinion on Pashtuns in a positive way. I encourage Admin Khan not to deactivate it. If he decides otherwise, at least should warn us about it. I want to stay in touch with you guys."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

^ I don't understand why YOU are a proud Pakistani when being a different nation from punjabis and sindhis. What? so you think Pakistan made for the muslims and this whole two-nation theory Hindu vs Muslim? Is this why YOU identify yourself as a Pakistani?Originally posted by toughpashtun View PostThe quality of the discourse that takes place here has gone down steeply.

what is your reason ? The only reason is zaid hamid and the ghazwa-e-hind prophesy of conquring india . But if you are not for ghazwa-e-hind or the muslim conquest of India is not likely , then tell me .... why do you call yoursel a pakistani ?Why do you ?!?!I am gone...
