Real men aren't desperate to prove how manly they are to everyone who'll notice. In truth, Western culture has never been very manly. Even the old Greek/Roman concepts of manliness were strange, overly obsessed with dominating weaker people, and anti-woman. Compare it to the way manliness is seen in Islamic/Arab/Iranic cultures, and it's quite different. While Western culture encourages dominance over those that are weaker, our cultures praise men who stand up to those that are stronger. I'm simplifying things, but both conceptions of what a man should be in the West are really unappealing to me. On one hand, you have the weaklings of the Left, and on the other hand, the ape-like bullies of the Right.

But yeah, I've seen too many guys making that face in pictures, and it's pretty embarrassing. Dignity isn't valued these days.
