Those who dont know, a zoo has been opened in Peshawar. As expected of uncouth Pashtuns, they are throwing stones, bottles, ganderai and all kind of stuff at the poor animals....animals seem frightened and terrorized.....It was not a bright idea to open a zoo for them, we are talking about people who think its very funny to inflict pain on stray dog or a donkey, who unleash dogs on captured boars and who do betting on cockfight.

Zoo's in general are cruel and inhumane whether its opened by Pashtuns or anyone else since animals put in a small cage or enclosure is savage.Originally posted by Samandri View PostThose who dont know, a zoo has been opened in Peshawar. A zoo without proper security anywhere in the world will be abused.----------

Its not like Peshawar zoo is running without security, its more than enough. I dont know about other parts of the world but Pakhtunkhwa should be the last place where a zoo should be opened. We Pashtuns grow with stones in our hands which we pelt at other kids and animals in sight. Some in the zoo wanted see snakes behind the glasses clearly, so they threw stones at it and broke the glasses. A monkey or lion minding his own business in the cage is not enough for a Pashtun, he wants a "funny" scene of them getting disturbed when he hurls stones at them.
Of course my fingers are also pointed at the ones who have opened zoo. PTI has upcoming elections on its mind, zoo is part of it.. Entry fee is just 10 rupees for kids and 40 Rupees for adults (zoo is teeming with very large number of humans). They have put only one fence separating animals and humans.

I don't think this is a Pashtun issue. Kabul has had a zoo for a long time. Pashtuns aren't generally torturing their domesticated animals either, so whatever is causing this stupid behavior is something else (probably lack of familiarity with zoos).
Kids everywhere like to throw rocks. People do the same in America.Originally posted by Samandri View PostWe Pashtuns grow with stones in our hands which we pelt at other kids and animals in sight. Harassing zoo animals happens elsewhere too.
For example:
Three victims of a tiger attack at a city zoo taunted the animal moments before it struck, killing one of the men, court documents have revealed.
Victims 'taunted tiger' before it killed zoo visitor | World news | The GuardianThe sad thing is, this is way better than what they normally throw. When I went LAST YEAR people were throwing anything they could get their hands on at the animals. Such as full plastic water bottles, coke cans, also full, rocks, and the worst part is NO ZOO STAFF WAS PRESENT.

Decent pashtuns wont be in the zoo in the first instance as they wont find the subjugation of wild animals as entertainment anyway. I know what you mean though i'm just saying this barbarism isnt confined to the Pashtun, you have idiots in all places, i new a white boy in school that used to beat the crap out of his dog eventually it attained mental disorder and had to be put down by the vets.
Have you written to the zoo owners or gone through any type of complaints procedure?----------
