LOl it's ok, we'll imagine your constantly shifting background denotes Afghan cred lol

Firdousi is awesome; he's Tajik like you, hating Tajiks won't make you more Pashtun bro. Lay off of it.

Punk Rock never died ....rebels to the end .....

      But anyways good luck bro.

Lol where did you get that I did it to look like a "better Muslim"? lol You're projecting so much man. This is all your defense mechanism, I never said that was my motive.

Never shifted background? You just told me 4 posts ago that your dad's from Oman and mom is Sakzai because my family are Sakzai lol. I maybe older than you but I haven't gone blind yet.

Glad you love Tajiks, it's good to see that you finally love yourself. I'm happy I could help you embrace your heritage.

It's ok my Tajik brother, I accept you just the way you are. What matters is that you love yourself now. I'm just glad I could lead you to thi, it took a lot of "tough love" but it was worth it.

Whitney used to say ...learning to love yourself ....is the greatest love of all.

Why are you so mad at me? I never disrespect you. At least I try not to do so. But you seem to have a pure and genuine hatred for me. Why?

I can tell you why; Afghanfootball got caught up in these weird remnants of 2000's era Afghan Diaspora cyber-culture whirlpool and was led to believe that you have to tow certain lines or speak certain jargon to make people think you're a "Real Afghan"

              y'know stuff like

              - Afghans (as definitive cultural/national group) have existed for 5000 years.

              - Ahmad Durrani is our "baba"

              - Afghanisan was never conquered or colonized and is the product of freedom-loving warriors.

              - People are trying to rob Afghans of their history by not acknowledging these statements as facts.

So in this echo chamber, they are taught to perceive anyone that isn't inline with this paradiigm as an enemy, like a Pakistani or Gilam Jam or Rafidhi.

Paradoxically the people who "act this way" have suspicious backgrounds, they have little to no connection to the Pashtun tribal fabric. It's almost as if they idealize Pashtuns a certain way and Pashtuns are something totally different.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

SOmetimes i don't get this "5000" years history or some **** like that. Do we really have 5000 years history? I wouldn't be suprised if iranians(persians) had that, if not longer. Also, for tajiks, 3000 years, and their golden age only started at islamic age(i assume. DOn't know much about history).

Could someone please make a summary of these 5000 years history, but exclude the time we turned muslims, the revolution of Mirwais, the durranis and such.
I would really like to hear that, because most of the pahstun history i hear about is either about the durranis or the hotakis. The only pahstun post-islamic historical piece i know about is arachosia or some **** like that.

Tajik identity was created like a thousand year ago. There were no Tajiks before that just a bunch of Iranic tribes such as the Bactrians, Soghdians, Arachosians and Parthians (I guess all them looked pretty much the same with just some linguistic and cultural differences). Its like those Afghans who claim vehemently that Mawlana was an Afghan lol History can not and should not be confined within the limits of some fake modern borders.

BTW not even Persians got this 5000 years history. I mean, the first Iranic civilization was BMAC. Actually the oldest civilizations in modern Iran weren't even Iranians. Elamites were Semitics. Its pretty well known that the Achaemenids had some sort of inferiority complex toward Elamite and Aramaic languages. This is something modern Iranian nationalists choose to ignore that in the glorious Aryan empire the national language was semitic.

There is no 5000 years history. Just cultural appropriation. Modern Afghan citizens have no right to claim for themselves the history that predates foundation of modern Afghan nation-state for it belongs to everybody in this region not only to us.

Well I am absolutely certain we're not 5000 years old

I'm skeptical on whether we're more than 1500 years old.

I'm pretty sure we're at least 1000 years old.

                                were they really semites?

I thought originally they were some neolithic farmer people. the semites are later branching among many others. these same neolithic famers made their way into Mediteranean Europe as well.
