  • Partition of India - biggest mistake in our history?

I regret the fact that my father's family came to Karachi from Delhi in the 1950s. India will always be the mother country of its insolent, illegitimate child Pakistan - and Afghanistan is like the deadbeat dad lol. However, neither created Pakistan directly. Britain was like the sperm donor who sowed the seeds but had no further involvement in the child's upbringing.

Yes I do love Pakistan - as a physical place, not as a nation because it is not a strong one, nothing can unite us. Pakistan for me, failed the day Bengal ceased to be a part of it. I am culturally closer to Bengalis than to Punjabis.

Anyway, for people of my background, partition was a blunder because this is how cordial relations have always been between Hindus and Muslims of Greater Awadh/Nepalganj:

Hindu Muslim Sambanda Nepal - YouTube

We have the same culture, language, etc. as the Hindus of our region but with Pakistani Punjabis, all we share is an Islamic identity.

The Durand Line is the only partition we care about. The partition of British India was frankly a good thing for both Desi muslims and Pashtuns. Islam comes above any cultural connections(I know you're irreligious but that's what I believe) and a united India would be based on Indo-Dravidian identity and would have no place for Iranic people or culture. In Pakistan at least Pashtuns make up a significant percentage of the population so we can have at least some influence on the national culture.

But if a united India became independent, wouldn't KPK/FATA have chosen to be re-annexed into Afghanistan (or maybe even become an independent Pashtunistan)? At the same time, the Baloch would have their Balochistan.

I feel like the British prob wouldn't allow it. They would force us to stay.

No. As much as I dislike Pakiland, being part of Slumdia would have been far worse. Our land would have been flooded with UP-Bihari gypsies and our lands would be far more Indicized than they are today. A united India would have been good if it excluded Pashtunistan and Balochistan.

That would be nice. In that case, I would support a united India. However, realistically speaking, that wouldn't have happened. KPK/FATA and Balochistan would have been part of India just like how non-Indic Northeast India was.

As much I want good economic and intellectual relations with India; let's call a spade a spade. Indian Nationalists and "Hindutva" want nothing more than for Afghans to realize some fabricated Imaginary "Indian heritage" and "re-assimilate" us. This is why they bizarrely have this preoccupation of "courting" us in their conflict against Pakistan., but Pakistani's are culturally closer to them,, so this courting has other motives as well ....sleep with one eye open with India ....if someone is TOO Nice to you, there's probably a catch.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

These Hindutva dogs are by far the most disgusting, inhuman, evil and frustrated nationalists out there, way worse than any other nationalist group. But in general, I can't hate them. I mean, in my eyes, Hindus are so inferior, so insignificant, that they are not even worth my hatred. Their nationalism is purely an online phenomena. They would never say such disgusting things in our faces because Indians are servile, weak and cowards by nature. Biggest "gozoks" and "naamards" ever.

India is taking advantage of Afghans stupidity and contempt for Pakistan. Muslims are killing each other while Apus sit and watch. Its a win-win for these dalkhors. The sooner stupid Afghans and stupid Pakis wake up,the better.

BTW double partition of India was a huge failure. Muslim population was split into three different political entities, hostile to each other weakening their strength while most of Apus remained in an united dalkhor state. I couldn't care less about Peshawar, Quetta or Baluchistan. To me Hindu Kush is a natural border that separates us from a different "civilization".

Muslims would be a far more powerful force under a United India. Relative to Pakistan, Indians always seem to be shining, and doing great things. Every nation has problems, but my interaction with Indian Muslims have been that they are quite happy, and proud of India.

Pashto has hardly any status in Pakistan, not sure how that could be worse under India. In fact, since there is precedence of regional languages in India; it might even be easier to make it an official language.

Pashtuns don’t have anything in common with the Indics of Pakistan or India. Nearly every Pashtun of Pakistan I’ve met, throughout the world, they’ve felt uncomfortable calling themselves Pakistani. Deep down inside they know bhangra has little to do with their culture, and how different their environment at home is relative to the Punjabi.

Pashtuns already have a country named after them, Afghanistan, they just need to focus on her.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                      This is false.

Most of Pakhuntkhwa and Balochistan are part of the same physical geographical region that Afghanistan is. There is no "natural" border between Afghanistan and British invented Pakiland. It is fake British made Durand line.

The natural border between Afghans/Baloch and Dravidians is where the moutain ranges of the Eurasion plate end and the Indian tectonic plate begins.

Pashtuns and Baloch belong to the same geographical space which is at a much higher altitude than the natural homeland of the Dravidians of Punjab, Sindh etc who belong to the plains and tropics of India.

Fake Durand line is NOT a natural border between Afghans and Baloch/Pashtuns on the wrong side of where the border really should be.

Dont try to divide Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan from Afghanistan by making up fairy tales about 'natural borders' when there isnt one.

The border between Afghanistan and Balochistan/Pakhtunkhwa is political not 'natural'.

                        I agree 100% with Admin Khan's post.

Shocking that most of you guys here claim to hate Punjabistan but then due to your Pakistani upbringing (or for whatever other twisted personal reasons) you guys are equally, if not more, Indophobic.

Hindustan has always been the backyard of Afghanistan and there was ALWAYS some kind of exchange between the two - people, culture, religion, technology, learning, etc.
Do not even try to deny this or you'll just be fulfilling Zia Ul Haq's fantasy of Pakistani Muslims people denying their historical linkage to India altogether.

Each state of India has a distinct language and culture. Pakistan forced everyone to learn Urdu and ended up ruining a beautiful language that was actually a 100% Indian language in the first place - now Urdu is dominted by a Punjabi accent in Pakistan and you guys Pathan accent is mocked the world over. Original Urdu is only spoken by some in Karachi.

In a united India, Pashto would have definitely fared better.

'Exchanges' dont mean 'once upon a time' being the same as you or ever being a part of you though, which is what retarded Dravidian nationalists from both Pakiland and India try to claim under various guises because of their dark-people racial inferiority complexes.

That's where Afghans draw the line with Indians, when Indians try to claim the different histories and peoples of Afghanistan as your own peoples history.

I never said Afghans are Indians or vice-versa. I said they were always in contact with each other.

BTW my skin color is lighter than most of your Baloch I've encountered in Karachi and Oman, as well as Gwadar - I may be 0.5% Dravidian but your people are 25%+ African. Not that it matters, Black people are very beautiful as well.
