  • End of Net Neutrality and dire consequences too the Online Pashtun community

I'm sure you guys heard about this, about congress passing a bill, forcing us to pay for using social media sites etc etc.

the amount of material related or about Pashtuns will potentially be severely limited to around 90-95% ..............

millions of Pashtuns will never have access to hidden facts about their race and instead get told by the mainstream media.

You know what dire implications this has.....

i dont know if this effects a small website like Pashtun forums, comapared to the big boys facebook, reddit etc.

nor do i know if PashtunForums is run by another domain or website engine...

the internet is basically the only place for Pashtuns to find hidden facts because all pasthuns get in real life is Gul Khan and Gul Jan/Gul Shah material ....

in real life mainstream media, the ones on the Pakistani side of the durrand line only hear their side of the story, vice versa with Afghanistan....

if you didn't know, Gul Shah/Gul Jan means Persianized Pashtun, the Afghan Equivalent to Pakistanized Pathans, the Gul Khans.

Gul Marjan is a term for pashtuns loyal to pashtuns and not to persian afghans and pakistan

Afghans don't really use these terms.

Also Congress didn't vote on this. This was done by the FCC.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

You want to learn about hidden secrets of the Pashtun culture, you go live amongst Pashtuns. You are not going to learn that from a community that dedicates 90% of it’s platform to people who post pictures of people with objects sticking out of the creases of their pants.
It is in vain to think of a wilderness distance from the heart.

Meh, there's all kinds. We got tribal ones that still keep pashtun-wali, then the urban ones that are like , lost their culture to an extent. Many things , Many things.

The Pashtun culture did not survive until now because of internet. If anything, the internet is a surest way of corrupting, manipulating and destroying a culture.
