Afghans care too much about Muslim brothers across the world. This is how Osama and Al Qaeda and now IS takes advantage of naive Pashtuns who are too sensitive when it comes to fellow Muslims beng oppressed, they take it upon themselves to help them without realizing that it will come back to bite them in the ass. Afghans should first focus on Afghanistan.

There's already a pretty strong anti-American sentiment in Afghanistan, this will only cause it to grow stronger. The sooner everyone realizes the first step towards peace in Afghanistan is removing the invaders, the better.

Jerusalem and AQ are two different things. Afghans have every right to protest against this unilateral and stupid step taking by a foreign power that affects their world, their brothers in faith and their religion.
Its true that we have more important issues to deal with in our own country but people shouldn't forget that truth and brotherhood can not be and should not be confined within fake and artificial boundaries of nation-sates.

Of course they have every right to protest but why not protest about something more relevant to their own everyday daily life? This is why Afghans have the biggest hearts, despite all the **** they have to the deal with, they still have time and energy to protest for the sake of others like Palestinians or Rohingyas lol

lol, dude, afghans are protesting and b*tching 24/7 no matter how good life is. We are like always complaining about everything. I am telling you this because it reminds me of my own dad. When people asked him "how is the business going" he used to respond "dam qanimat, hama bazaar kheile kheraabe" ("thanks God, but the business isn't going well") although he was making plenty of money lol
Jerusalem is a symbol. Symbol matters specially for us. You may kill thousands of Muslims that people won't care. Burn a Quran on the TV and the world will burn too. I know its irrational and makes little sense, but this is the way this part of the world works.

You are right. Many of our people do 6itch constantly about one thing or another lol even me sometimes haha
I can't speak to the religious symbolism myself because I was actually brought up in a secular environment (during my early years I was more involved in the religious life as I had a lot more Pashtun family around who were more pious and conservative. Some had extreme views and were not tolerant of other religions). Then as recently as 2 years ago I gave up on religion itself and the concept of a higher power but lets not get into that.
The part in bold is the sad truth. Muslims are far from perfect but Islam is perfect. But since nobody can agree what Islam actually is, we will never know what the fruit of perfection was supposed to be.
