Iranians living in the GCC do know about "Pathans" but Iranians living in Iran or in the West know absolutely nothing.

The Taliban, despite being a religious movement, are too linked to Pashtun bigotry, and their history of discrimination and outright massacring of the Hazara has never been redressed. The Hazara have always been an extremely vulnerable group. These beautiful, innocent looking people should be cherished rather than treated like second class citizens. Taliban have to do more to assure the ethnic minorities, particularly Hazara, that they have their interests at heart and they have reformed their attitude and behavior. Taliban have to breach the ethnic lines and not be confined to Pashtuns only if they ever want to be successful. Otherwise there will always be permanent opposition to them and the central government in Kabul could never completely be defeated. Only if the entire Afghan population rise up against the foreign occupation and their puppet government could the Taliban ever attain success. Short of that they need to focus on integrating themselves into the new State and end the armed opposition to it. Perhaps they could be more successful as a purely political but non-violent force and represent the interests of both Islam-lovers and also those who are wary of creeping foreign influence and modernism, especially from India and the West. Along with Hekmatyar and Sayyaf, they could push for more cooperation and brotherly relations with Pakistan.
Yeah very innocent,,, then they are the first ones to be employed by Iran(most of the shias of Pakistan/Afghanistan) for the fake jihad in Middle East.

They are pressured to do so by the Iranians. The average Iranian is not interested in nor had the appetite to participate in actual battle. They have supposedly moved up in the world since the 1980s when so many of their young people volunteered for martyrdom operations while faced by superior Iraqi tanks and artillery. So the Iranians have to send impoverished refugees from Afghanistan like the Hazara to do their dirty work. The Hazara were offered asylum in Iran so the Iranians obliged their young men to go to Syria.

The blame ultimately lies with the Taliban and prejudicial Pashtuns who made their lives very difficult in Afghanistan, forcing them to emigrate in the first place. Is it any wander the Hazara are resentful of Sunnis. You guys did a bang up job trying to spread Sunna by gunpoint. Well done.

You mean the Panjpiris? I believe the main religious organization itself (Jamiat Ishaat e Tauheed wa Sunna) doesn't condone acts of terror including suicide bombings. In fact, it doesn't condone Khurooj against the Pakistani State either. Of course there may be people of Panjpiri background who have become terrorists but they can't be considered to represent the official position of the Jamiat.

Here is a video from a Peshawar rally of the Difa-e-Pakistan Council in 2012 where Maulana Tayyab Tahiri is a part of, and his specific address to the congregants.
Sheikh Tayyab at Defae-Pakistan Conference at Peshawar 15-4-212.MPG - YouTube
I was pleasantly surprised to see in this video that the number of our Panjpiri/Mamati banners outnumbered that of both the Jamaatud Dawa (Ahle Hadith group) and the Jamiat ulama-e-Islam (Deobandi/Hayati)

His speech was in Pashto so couldn't really understand what he said

you need to check your eyes.... The JUI flags outnumbered all!
Also it has nothing to do with the jemat individually. He just announced the coalition of all the Islami Jemats of Pakistan.
