Punjabis historically are mostly "low caste" Hindus and Bundjab is known to have always had the highest number of Hindu "low castes" than any other part of India, so naturally Punjabi language is more underdeveloped and retains more Dravidian in it than other so-called "Indo-Aryan" languages.

Many Punjabis themselves admit how uneducated and stupid sounding their language is. They are ashamed of their own language because they know it reveals their Dalit roots, that is why Punjabis are so desparate to promote Urdu because of their inferiority complex about being the converted "low castes" of Hindus that speak a stupid and uneducated Dalit language.

I have seen many Punjabi families who prefer it if their children only spoke Urdu, and they don't bother teaching them Punjabi.

In fact Punjabis have saying "Pathan Janay Ramazan Janay" meaning Roza/sawm is thing of Pathans not us. But they are not the most unclean people in Pakistan, that award goes to rural Sindhis.

I have heard Punjabis become more Hindu-ish and Sikh-ish when they settle in western countries. They return to their roots, the "desi-pan"
Everything you said is true except the last part. Western Punjabis in my experience generally at the very least fast, which unfortunately is not something we can say about the majority of the ones in Pakistan(although Urban Punjabis are generally better than rural ones).
Actually many Pashtuns turn worse in western countries, at least in America. Punjabis are usually more or less the same as they are in Pakistan but Pashtuns when they come here often get themselves in various degeneracies, usually sexual. Many Pashtun men here get involved in Zina and often marry non-Muslim women. One particularly terrible thing that happens is that some Pashtun men come here with Pashtun Muslim wives whom they have kids with, then abandon them and their kids for some white women. I know of a couple of families who have been traumatized by this behaviour.
One particular strange case was that of a man from KPK who had a wife and daughter in his native village there but then abandoned them, came to America, and married an American women. He had kids with this woman(and a non-Pashtun muslim woman he married afte he divorced the former). He raised these kids without any knowledge of his previous marriage and the child he had from it. When these kids grew up they found out about this and were angered. I won't give anymore details for the sake of the family's privacy but know that it was a very strange story.
I have also know of Pashtun men who drink alchohol. Pashtun females are generally way better than the men but I guess one thing is that while in their own native lands Pashtuns are strict practitioners of Purdah in the west they change so much in the west that, although Asian females in general don't wear hijab very often in the west, Pashtun girls have the lowest rate. Although I do not believe that a female's character should be judged completely from hijab it shows to me that our "purdah" is cultural rather than Islamic.
My theory on the origin of all these degeneracies is that for many of us Islam is just culture and that many think they can just shed it when they move to a new culture. Also I feel Pashtuns are sometimes overwhelmed by the very different social conditions of the west.
That is not to say all Pashtuns are like this. I'd say 40% are bad, 40% are pretty good and practicing Muslims, and 20% are in the middle.

Did you conduct some census in reaching to the conclusion that 40% are good and 40% are bad?....i dont think your interactions and observations can be that vast in America as Pakistani and Afghan families are not in one neighborhood but are scattered across America. What are you saying , is also said about Punjabis and Indian Mohajirs. It must have some thing to do with American society. But i was not talking about religion and Americanization, by Hindu-ish and Sikh-ish i meant they become more honest about their indic roots and desi culture , and they get along very well with Sikhs and other Indians in abroad. In Pakistan there is artificiality of hating their own indic kinsmen on the other side of wahga. When environment of Pakistan is removed, they embrace their indic kinsmen.

I mean what do people expect kids raised in the west will behave western it is only natural.

You probably think that because afghans are famous for speaking hindi in transgenders like voice/accent. Indians on the other hand speak normally.

I'm not sure what country you are from, but Pakistani people are generally very cleanly. We tend to be generally more religious overall than Afghans and Turks in western countries and thus do vazu multiple times a day.

I've met Afghans and Turks that make fun of us for washing ourselves with water as opposed to toilet paper which they insisted on using. So how can you say we are dirty people, when you Afghans conform to western society to the point where you can't even clean yourselves properly?

Hindi/urdu or any language isn't feminine or masculine, anyone who think along those lines clearly have very basic education at best like most people here.

That was an estimate based on my own interactions, which you are right are not extremely vast and so they cannot be completely accurate. But Pashtuns definitely do often turn bad in the west to extreme degrees. This is a problem shared by all iranic people in the west, the worst ones are Iranians and I have heard Afghan Persian speakers are also pretty bad. I haven't heard of Punjabi Muslims getting into this kind of behaviour, but then again that could be due to lack of interaction. And it is true that Punjabis and Muhajirs rediscover their Indic roots in the west, but the place where I live is an exception to this for reasons I don't completely understand. Pakistanis and Indians are not very close over there.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Yeah, that's it, although I clearly said INDIC men, and Pashtuns aren't Indic. oh well, minor discrepancy I guess.

Interesting. In my experience, Pashtuns and "Indians" (over here they all speak Urdu so I never know what ethnicity they belong to specifically unless I know them well) are probably the people who remain most committed to Islam when moving to the West. The Indians of the UK in particular have created great communities where they preserve their religious and cultural identity (to the point that people complain that they still teach in Urdu decades after the first arrivals, something I find admirable). I was actually surprised when I first heard of Punjabis being irreligious in Pakistan, as all the ones I knew were very good people. Of course, there's confirmation bias at work there, since most of the Punjabis I know I met in a Masjid, and one difference between Arabs and Afghans/Iranians/Indians is that pretty much every Arab goes to the Masjid and prays at least every once in a while, even the ones that commit every sin imaginable. But apart from that, Afghans and Indians tend to be more far more committed to other aspects of Islam, such as eating halal only and not intermingling genders.

In my experience it's the complete opposite lol. Pashtun girls tend to be by far the most strict with hijab, as well as satar in general. Arab girls and guys hang out without much shyness (even religious girls, except they'll wear a scarf), and the only people who consistently separate genders when visiting each others' homes are Pashtuns.

There are exceptions, especially since many of the original immigrants to the West were communists who fled the Mujahideen, and most of the new ones are traitors who worked for the US invasion, but aside from those we're better off than most Muslims. But everyone here in the US slowly loses their cultural identity, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Pashtuns and other Muslims become indistinguishable from other Americans within a few generations.

The problem is Iranics (and Shami Arabs and Turks) can usually blend into Western society a lot better. Most of us can pass for either Mexicans/Hispanics or white people, which opens up a lot of social and dating opportunities that don't exist for people who look much more overtly "foreign" than the typical Westerner.
