Os khkari. First problem I see is that many Pashtun areas such as Swabi and Nowshera are blank. The other problem is one that I've seen with almost every tribal map, Khyber Agency is shown as completely Karlanri while the truth is that half of it should be green due to the Shinwari tribe, which is Sarbanri, residing there. I can't tell you anything else but for the most part it seems accurate.

on the whole the colurs reflect the 'tribes' in terms of corresponding to other sources, such as books by British-Indian authors (JW Murray) of Pathans. Though the book limits to Pathans of what is now pakistan tribal areas. Lets see if the respondents to the thread affirm their koms to the map.

However the legion in the map refers to super-groups based on the sons of Baba Qais. I am interested to see how, say different tribes belonging to Sarban end up separated in well defined demarcation, and to see if say the Shinwari or Momand acknowledge Sarban descent as other durrani tribes such as popalzai, bara kzai, khogyani. Hope fully fact from fables may be sorted.

The map resolution is kinda low so I can't tell 100%, but it seems like it shows half of Zazi as being Bettani/Ghilzai, which I'm pretty sure is wrong.

How much do others pay attention to these divisions, by the way? I don't think I've ever heard a Zazai mention anything about being Karlani.
