But I suppose Afghans would never even consider such a proposition, even if it was ultimately in their best interests in terms of prosperity and development. Pride is often an obstacle to many things which are actually good for people.

I think Afghans and Pashtuns in particular cannot stomach the fact that the "Indic" people whom they ruled over and conquered many times are now in a stronger position than them, and that majority of Pashtuns in the world are now ruled from Rawalpindi/Islamabad. This I have realized is the reason for the bitterness and enmity some Pashtuns have toward Pakistan and Punjabis in particular.

It is the same kind of bitterness and resentment Arabs have toward Jews. Arabs were used to Jews being weak people for centuries, now all of a sudden Jews are a superpower with a mighty state like Israel, whereas Arabs are dejected, weak and humiliated. Same thing with Pashtuns, they cannot get over the fact that "Indic" Muslims now have their own state (Pakistan) which is actually ruling over the majority of their people.

I say it is time for Pashtuns to stop the nostalgia for their supposed past glories and think about the present and future. Always romanticizing about the past while ignoring the future needs is a sign of a nation that is defeated and dejected.
let's annex every country in central asia into Pakistan or Iran. (facepalm)

let's merge Europe with Asia while we at it. lol

same reason you can't merge Europe with Asia, even though both are teh same overall continent.
You can't overlook the fact that Afghans themselves would benefit from being annexed into either Iran or Pakistan, two states which are far more developed than their landlocked country that barely has any functioning institutions or infrastructure.

Afghanistan's real problem is political instability due to the constant civil wars. Even now the Afghan president is basically the Mayor of Kabul. Since Afghans can't trust each other to rule over them, why not simply request Islamabad to do the ruling since they are much better at it.

Afghans don't see themselves related to Pakistani or South Asian people. there is little benefit in being part of another country, specially where you are going to be a minority. The same reason Pakistanis don't want to join India.

You don't need to make big countries to prosper/develope anyway. Smaller populations are ideal. some peace and stability will do well in the region.

You are right theoretically. You don't need to make big countries to prosper. But Afghanistan is definitely not prospering, and it definitely does not have peace and stability. It hasn't had peace or stability for at least 4 decades now. Before those 4 decades it may have had stability, but there was absolutely no development or prosperity.

Afghanistan simply isn't a viable state. I repeat my proposal, Afghanistan should be partition, let the West/Persian half go to Iran and the East/Pashtun half go to Pakistan.

At least Pashtuns will be united in one country. Majority of Pashtuns live in Pakistan already, they will be joined by Pashtuns west of the Durand Line. This will not weaken Pashtuns but actually make them stronger in the long run, giving them more political clout in Pakistan.

Think about it. I believe it is a great idea.

most Asian countries have only prospered in the last 2-3 decades though. there were barely any developement or prosperity anywhere in asia, let alone afghanistan.

Afghanistan does have economic potential with the untapped proven mineral reserves (Lithium). I think estimates range from 1 to 3 trillion dollars worth of that.

The question is, can Afghanistan quickly end these civil wars, get their act together, strengthen their political system, and save themselves from being exploited by foreign control. Right now it seems Afghanistan is surviving purely on international aid. It doesn't seem like the country can stand on its own two feet. Its been on crutches since 2001/2002.

Bad governance from Karzai is the problem. Karzai and company should have fostered better relations with Pakistan. Pakistan can destabilize Afghanistan like the push of a button. Sooner Afghanistan realizes this the better.

Even after America invaded and occupied Iraq, the subsequent Iraqi government was smart enough to foster relations with Iran, though Iran is America's mortal enemy. Iraq was able to walk the line between American and Iranian interests. Yes, Iraq failed because it refused to reach out to the Sunni Arabs. But Afghanistan's insurgency is fueled by Pashtuns, who are themselves the majority of Afghanistan. It would be easier for Afghanistan to win over the Pashtuns than for Iraq to win over the Sunni Arabs.

See, this is why we call you a cuckold.

Your fake prophet was a cuckold for the British and couldn't understand why Afghans made Jihad against his masters.

Now you follow in his footsteps and can't understand why we don't just enslave ourselves for some temporary worldly benefit.

Our best interest is to solve our own problems internally and remove the foreign invaders and other elements that seek to dominate us, not to willingly enslave ourselves so we can get a few scraps from the emperor's table like your ancestors so graciously did for the British.

I agree, like how your pride prevents you from leaving Qadianism, and rejecting the kadhab and dawoos Ghulam Ahmad.

lol "stronger." Pakistan is a hellhole that's barely staved off the pending complete implosion that'll inevitably come, and India is only slightly better.

Oh look, here comes this fool's Punjabi nationalism once again.

This guy needs to be banned permanently. All he does is spread deviance and kufr under the name of Islam, and make passive aggressive attacks against us. It's pretty clear there's no reforming for him.

It's time for you to go away and never come back.

LOL this guy is so easy to provoke. When I talk about how Pakistan and India are strong countries in the region, he immediately says they are about to implode as if his words will make it true.

Then when I point out that 30 million of his Pashtuns are ruled by Pakistan, he loses it and says:

This guy needs to be banned permanently.
What's the matter? No comeback? What comeback can there be to the reality that 30 million Pashtuns are basically ruled by Rawalpindi?

Since he can't think of one he starts the personal attacks and begs the admins to ban me. What a crybaby.

This is the dilemma with Afghan nationalists. They will love to say how bad India and Pakistan are, as if they are Americans or Europeans, but as soon as you remind them "Hey what about Afghanistan?" they lose it. They're too stupid to realize that they set themselves up.

lol you think you've provoked me. I mean, you just got majorly triggered in the other topic where I exposed your lust for boys.

Remember when I pointed out your obvious mental illness and you got so triggered you starting making takfir of me (as if the takfir of a Qadiani would bother anyone lol)? Remember when I triggered you so hard you went on a bunch of anti-Pashtun rants and got banned? Don't talk about provocation when you're still salty over the fact that we rejected you.

Lose it? Lose what? I've been saying you need to be banned permanently for most of your tenure here.

Face it, you're a Pashtun-hating Qadiani on a forum for Pashtuns. You don't belong here.

lol what do you think this is, a high school pissing contest?

Did you think I was competing with you, or trying to outwit you or something? I mock you because you're stupid, deviant, and a nuisance, not because this is some sort of game.
