  • Pashtuns are biased and idiots

I have observed that Pashtuns are swayed by Pashto a lot and gets fooled and deceived in the process. To give you an example there is a market nearby my home where there are two shops which sell dairy products (shodaey, mastay, pirni, ras malai etc).....one is run by Punjabis who cant speak Pashto as they opened it this year... their milk and mastay are high top notch quality and they are selling it at standard rates set by authorities, 70 and 85 rupees per kg respectively. The hygienic conditions of their shop is also very good......the other shop is run by Pashtuns, opened more or less at the same time......their milk and mastay is very thin and low quality (mixes water with it), and they are selling it at high prices (both milk and mastay for 100 rupees per Kg) and hygienic conditions of the shop are not good. And guess what, the Pashtun's shop has more customers than Punjabi's. In fact i heard the comment from a Pashtun buyer in 50s, that these Punjabis dont even know Pashto, i would rather buy milk from some one who understands me........( not all Punjabi shopkeepers are like this and not all Pashtun shopkeepers are corrupt , a common sense and sane mind demands that you chose quality product no matter who is selling it)

There is must be some reason for Babur to remark that out of all the people in Hindustan, Afghans are the stupid ones. In various historical sources , i see the remarks about Pashtuns that they are idiots. I think they must have observed our idiocy like in the above mentioned case. We are generally biased people and are easily swayed and fooled by Pashto/Pashtun. And there is no good output of it. There is still no unity and we fight with each other like dogs.

I have observed the opposite, but if Pashtun mentality was like above mention case, then that will make them clever. Now hear me out.

In short terms; yes, that above case scenario will be very stupid of Pashtuns, but if you look at it from the long run, this would benefit Pashtun economy greatly.

Now let me explain. If all Pashtuns had that mentality, then it will be beneficial in long terms in a multi ethic country.
Pashtuns buying from Pashtuns: Money transfer from Pashtun to Pashtun
Punjabis buying from both Pashtuns and Punjabis: money transfer to both Punjabis and Pashtuns.
How is that beneficial. You see, Pashtuns buying from Pashtuns is making sure the shop is up running. Which means Pashtuns have secured a long term job. In the other hand, a Punjabi buying from both parties, is also benefiting the Pashtun. Which means a job security is again assured.

This means the Pashtun money is flowing through Pashtuns to Pashtuns. While also receiving the money flow from Punjabis.

This is also why the Chinese economy is sky rocketing. Let me give you an example from the mobile industry. The Chinese are mostly buying Chinese Mobiles in China, so the American, European, Korean ets. companies have zero chance competing in the Chinese market, while the Chinese companies are excelling in American and European market. Which means the Chinese companies are getting the 100 % benefit of their home country, plus they are getting the benefit of US and European market. Yet, they compete against each other in the Chinese market and the US/European market, which means they product is also drastically improving.

In your case scenario. When the Punjabi shop go down. And the locals are still not satisfied with the Pashtun product. It gives another Pashtun an opportunity to compete against his counter part. So in the end, the Pashtuns will still get better quality, but also let Pashtun get the benefit of the business.

Sadly I have observed Pashtuns to be opposite and only think of the short term benefit.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

Nobody should allow himself to be deceived and buy inferior product for any reason.

Buying from Pashtuns for nationalist motives is the highest form of stupidity. Because they are giving their money to someone who is deceiving them and selling them crap. That's like a woman loving her abusive husband.

That's very surprising. In South Punjab, obviously we are zamindars and sell the best milk.

Otherwise, after us, Pathans tend to sell good milk in South Punjab all the way up to Karachi. And they tend to be very hygienic compared to others. Also they never water down the milk and cheat people. They will raise their rates, but don't usually cheat people.

I haven't been to Pakistan in five years so maybe things have changed. With all the bad stereotypes Pathans have in Pakistan, they usually are considered trustworthy. News to me. I guess things might be different in Peshawar.

Man your thinking is convoluted and retarded. I rather buy a good product than buying sub-standard **** out of ethnic camaraderie. This **** isn't a joke.

Wow. Way not to generalize on your little tirade about Pashtuns being biased, there. That was lovely.

You know what else could help the Pashtun economy?? Honesty and cleanliness. Don't become a victim of emotionalism through setting the bar so low for your own people by buying crap from them just because they speak the same language as you. I would be more pissed off if a Pashtun or Afghan was selling garbage to his own people or panjabies because he would be giving out a negative impression of us, not be proud of his economy management skills.

This does show the pathetic mentality of these Pashtuns , but are all Pashtuns like that? That is the question.
My take would be that only a very jat jahil would think like that.Even a reasonably sensible, uneducated person would not show this attitude that you mentioned.

I did clarify that not all Punjabi shopkeepers are honest and not all Pashtun shopkeepers are corrupt. I just gave an example in which Punjabis happen to be honest and Pashtuns happen to be corrupt.......

We must let the free market take care of poor competition, we should always buy from the best quality and most honest sellers, if we bring in nationalist and other ideologies into the market we are only allowing poor competition to survive for longer, if the unhygienic shopkeeper sees that people won't buy from him he will clean up or the free market would force him to go out of business.

Only a FOOL would buy stuff from someone just because they share a common religious or ethnic background no matter the quality of the goods or services.

The bottom line is that nationalism is a huge disease. Nationalist people are even dumber than religious fanatics.
