  • "Loy Afghanistan"

What exactly is wrong with the term "Afghanistan" that some look forward to the building "Loy Afghanistan" instead?? How would it be different from Afghanistan?? I have never quite inderarood the purpose behind it. Someone, enlighten me.

Point be noted. I said enlighten, not bull****, irritate or bore me to death about it.

Loy Afghanistan has a nationalist connotation. Many nationalists love using it due to their natural bigotry. I must point out that its a quite rare term, barely used by non Pashtuns (I ignore to what extend its used among real Pashtuns).

BTW the real name of our country in Pashto should be "Awghanistan". Its embarrassing when Pashtun nationalists claim they are the true Afghans.. well Afghan is a Persian word lol

In what sense?? How would both parties be benefiting from the concept of Loy Afghanistan that they will not from a stable Afghanistan??

I am not asking this to be sarcastic or because I am tricking people in to stepping in to trap. I am actually pretty clueless when it comes to this subject.

This term is by far not as common among ordinary Pashtuns in Afghanistan, as it was among online Pashtuns. In fact, even online the term is breathing its last breath, and it's about time too. Some Pashtuns online believed that Afghanistan in this state because of Pakhtunkhwa not being part of us anymore, but the truth is that wrong decisions after wrong decisions by our kingdom/government in the past have ruined our country, culture, history, peace, and anything else that shouldn't have ended the way it has.

Dunno. I once read that Afghan means loud-mouthed man but I am not sure if its true (most likely its not).

Loy Afghanistan is the utopian dream of some Pashtun nationalists who want to incorporate Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan under the Banner of Loy Afghanistan.

The benifits include unification of Pashtun under one state where they will constitute absolute majority and Pashtuns will finally be able practice their culture, make full use of their language in all spheres of life without being pressured to speak Farsi or Urdu for the sake trying to integrate into the state dominant language.

Another benifit is access to the sea by forming a confideration with the Baloch people so we can use Gawadar without the blackmail of Pakistani state.

Another benifit will be that Pashtuns will be free to move and settle in all parts of Pashtun land and have the right to buy property and open businesses where ever they please.

                There are countless other benifits

^ Those are some really good points. I think the language bit would be something that we could greately benefit from in an all Pashtun society. What parts of our culture are we unable to practice fully due to living amongst non Pashtuns?? I have personally not seen anyone interfere with a Pashtun's way of justified living by non Pashtuns of Afghanistan. I would really like an example if there is such a thing.

I personally feel like a lot of "loy Afghanistan" talks are being initiated by Pashtuns of pakhtunkhuwa and most of those people have very anti non Pashtun views when it comes to the rest of afghans. Mostly because they don't know them well enough to want to live together with them. It is understanding but I don't think it's worth ripping the country in half over. It's a lot of effort and energy being placed towards something that we can do without just fine. And it's these separate unrealistic goals like this that are keeping us from resisting things like terrorism or poverty in our country while other societies have advanced further. We are not focusing on the right things.

Is not having to share a second language with non Pashtuns worth not having a future to look forward to in 50 years from now??

If you don't know then you shouldn't have put forward such an idiotic presumption.
"Awghanistan" means nothing in Pashto the way "imshallah" means nothing in Dari. It's just a phrase that illiterate dumbasses have come up with. "Afghanistan" derives from the word "feghaan" which means outcry in Dari or Farsi.

For a person who goes around, showcasing his administration for ferdousi, you sure as hell are dense.

Indeed. Pashtuns might have an history in terms of military and political power, but in terms of civilisation and utilising our culture and language, we lack behind from non-Pashtun Afghans and Pakistanis. Quality of Pashtu movies and quality of many of our songs are quiet embarrassing, and songs are a very important part of ANY cultural and lingual promotion.

When it comes to making a better living, Pashtuns always seem to make a status for themselves when going to non-Pashtun areas. How will we survive economic wise if we isolate ourselves for the sake of our ethnic, which was by nature and not choice? We're also very weak when it comes to maintaining our language when marrying non-Pashtuns. This is not because non-Pashtuns don't want to learn our language, but because we don't bother teaching our next generation the value of our language and culture.

You see? You are yelling and cursing. Typical Afghan. Ergo my presumption was right lol

Listen up, honey: do you have the letter "f" in Pashto? Obviously no. Basically the average Pashtun from the the tribal belt would be saying my name like this "Perdousi grana" lmao

I am not yelling or cursing. I am calling you an idiot because you constantly prove yourself as being one. I am not your wife, daughter or lover, do not call me "honey". I have told you that in the past but whenever you are reminded of the idiot that you are, you do it regardless. So whenever you call me "honey", I would not be hesistating from reminding you of the sort of moron that you are.

Yes, Pashtuns do have f/fey in their alphabets. If you don't know something for sure, don't bull**** about it.

Seems to me like you have got nothing better to do with your time tonight and are chewing on my brains for the heck of it so we are done with this conversation. Good night.

Well pashtuns on both sides are suffering right now. Therefore ideas like this exist.

However, the issue is very simple. Pak side doesn't want to split. Not because they love it there, but because merging with a poorer, more dangerous country is seen as unappealing. This sounds horrible, but it's the biggest reason. They also don't take much issue with the idea of Pakistan. As well, many of them roam freely within pakistan and live in karachi or whatever.

There could be a lot of benefits, but there are potential costs as well.

I agree with Shapur's point on the cultural aspect. Worst is TV. When you're going through TV channels, and you see Zee xyz, you feel a bit cornered. Were it not for Hollywood, I would be dancing to some SRK song right now, instead of listening to this:
