  • Maybe it's time to call it a day?

Let's face it; whatever activity there is here is pretty much vapid. There's nothing here that is being advanced, although this site can be an outlet to stay informed. But I believe that it has outrun it's longevity. This coming march of 2017, this site would have been active for 7 years. At this stage, it feels as if this site has lost its purpose.

Maybe we should close it down?

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

What was being advanced prior to this lull? Ie other than more users, what else was happening?

When the ones about Pashto and Pashtuns are in single digits and they are outnumbered by Pakistanis and Pakistani nationalists/zealots (e.g Peshawar_222) , Indians etc and other sorts (e.g Karachi), then consider this forum expired.

Well said, this has just become a proxy for Pakis and Indians to fight each other, they get banned on other forums for the way they conduct themselves, they get away with it here. They look for Pakistani's here and just start with the same BS rhetoric. You have guys that are a like a broken records, saying the same things over and over for years adding 0% intellect to the forum.

Much more advanced, it was quite peaceful.. a lot of nostalgia and cultural talk and jokes. It was also a learning platform where users would teach language, cuisine, family life and general conversations on the diaspora. There was occasional bickering between Paki and Afghan nationalists, but this was expected since Pashtuns live on both sides of the border and some turn out nationalistic..it was still under control. Then Indians came out and plagued the place, this is where we are at now unfortunately.

Unlike the Afghans who talk about Science and technology ? I have yet to see an Afghan who can write two lines on anything other than race or skin colour .

I agree Afghans have obsession with skin colour and being white. However, we have/had Professors, Doctors, Scientists and teachers that are Afghan on this forum and shared a lot of information actually. You are the nationalistic type that only notices what you want (tunnel vision) you do not have a balanced approach to life instead you are here to shove lahore, Karachi Islamabad, Jinnah and anything nationalistic down peoples throats, things that have nothing to do with Pashto/Pashtuns.

If Afghans here post articles that relate to all of Afghanistan why cant Pakistani's ? . Karachi alone has more Pashtun's than all your urban centres combined . Here is an experiment

                  Google

This is the latest google news section for Pakistan

                  - Pakistan setting up worlds largest solar park
                  - Pakistan defence exports
                  - Pakistan stock market at an all time high
                  - Pakistan commenting if it can afford bullet trains
                  - Pakistan new army chief takes command

These are the latest news you get when you type in Pakistan in the news section .

Now lets see the same for Afghanistan :

                  Google

                  - Afghanistan mounting sense of failure
                  - Australian soldiers deaths in suicide bombing
                  - Plight of the refugees returning to Afghanistan
                  - Dostum beating its political rival
                  - Afghan- Turkmenistan rail link

99.99 % of the articles about Afghanistan are blasts , suicide blasts , refugees or Taliban . Just because there is misery in Afghanistan and you dont want to post about them doesn't mean Pakistan should go in mourning too .

If you are that bothered go develop your stoneage country so that you dont get your feelings hurt everytime you see Pakistan progressing so fast .

Yes you dont have love for Jinnah but want to get free medical treatment in his country when you come over with your10 kids ?

Yes indeed you know more than Moody's , Standard and Poor , Asian Business review , World bank , United Nations and MSCI who have nothing but praise for us recently . I doubt if you even know half the names I just said .
