There is no set/common 'Indic' look or phenotype as there is great diversity in the region.
As for closeness to either, non-Christian Punjabis still show up as genetically being closer to Pashtuns than UPites or Biharies (non-Brahmins) on all calculators. Not my fault.

genetics of 15-20 people tells nothing lol, you have to do a mass genetic test of at least 1000 people from different areas to show clear results. So far all these small tests are bogus really, that's why I dont even take the Pashtun results seriously

These arent '15-20' samples, when every single genetic test or calculator brings about the same results and so does every single study whether DIY or other. Genetics are very improved now, and there is little point in denying them.

Punjabis do resemble the North-Western ethnicities of India that they share a border with like East Punjabies, Himachalies etc. but not UPites-Biharies on average. As for being mistaken for another ethnicity, it is subjective and Indian isnt an ethnicity.

I am posting pics of crowds in punjab, not individual people, we all know that Punjabis in Pakistan looks pretty much the same as North Indians, this is the reason the whole world calls Pakistan and India as same. India overall can be divided in to 2-3 different zones, the north, the east, the south. The north zone includes Punjab, Sindh, Rajahistan, Haryana, Delhi, West UP, West MP, Northern Gujarat, all these places have similar people, with similar looks, with no huge differences. While you cherry pick to find as many shoodars from Lahore as possible where we know they live in large numbers. If I google Kabul photos in most photos mongols are common. This is what anthropologists called 'Gangid' phentoype, found in Ganges Plains. Christians of Punjab are said to be migrants from UP/Bihar as well.
