Utmankhel tribe of Bajaur and Lower Dir

The UtmanKhel tribe inhabits Bajaur Agency,Lower Dir district and maybe(I am not sure) Mohmand Agency in Pakistan.
In some place I read that this tribe belongs to the Karlani branch of Pashtuns.
In another place it is mentioned that they belong to the Sarbani branch of Pashtuns,like the Yusufzai.
What is the truth?

They, Uthman Khels, are Karlanri who joined the camp of Khashi section of Sarabans........some non-Sarbani tribes became vassals of Khashi-Sarbans......other example is Jadoon who are non-Sarban, Ghurghasts and they were followers of Khashis. Mashwani is another example (Khashi group includes Yousafzais, Mandanrs, Gigyanis, Tarklanries)

Brother, how did they join the Saraban group? I mean, how can their origin change?
Or is it that by simply being vassals , they changed their tribal group also?

Read my post again. I told you that they are Karlanries.....and are considered Karlanries. It should not be so confusing.
