Which country would you retire in?

(South) India sounds nice to retire in...Is it safe enough for a rich guy from the west to retire here?

I am going to be a doctor in a few years. planning to work hard for a good decade, amass a good fortune, and then leave the west and retire somewhere in Asia, maybe start some businness, hire some guys to run it for me, while collecting extra money on the side, while retiring and enjoying life like a king in a tropical paradise.

A lot of westerners go there and enjoy and retire. My last boss here in Canada, retired in Sri Lanka

but yes South Asia has some nice places, and huge potential....maybe if you cut down your population to perhaps 300-400 million (comparable to USA) then things would change for the better and more clean...
