  • Who is Ashraf Ghani?

This is recent article published in the Newyorker. It goes into great detail the life of Ashraf Ghani and the challenges he faces as a president. Well worth a read.

Was interesting to read...I still have hope that Ghani will bring change. If he fails, whole of Afghanistan will fail and we will have to wait another 50 or 60 years for a new reformist.

If only Saqawi thugs and de kharzoy(Karzi) mafia allow him...as the article suggest he is not in touch with ground realities...another version of Amanullah khan? Hope not!

The artical suggests that he knows the ground reality and fights against it. What every moral person would do, Karzai and his tajik dogs have created a culture of corruption and briberry in Afghanistan, Ghani tries not to follow that and tries to weaken it by trieng to implement the laws instead of just puting money somewhere to get a job done. And like the artical sugests he tries to think about long term and the future not just short time fixes...
