  • ScanEagle Enhances Intelligence Capabilities for Afghan Forces

Every day Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are acquiring new capabilities. Recently, Afghan forces inaugurated the launch of SCANEAGLE Unmanned vehicle in Helmand and Mazar e Sharif. This is a significant progress in intelligence gathering capabilities for the Afghan security forces as it provides them with airborne intelligence and surveillance capabilities. It allows them to see the battlefield from a different perspective whereas before they relied mostly on human intelligence.
Do you agree that the newly acquired capabilities will give Afghan security forces a much needed advantage over the enemy?

Answer this question. How come the US has refused to give F-15/F-16s to Afghan Army, but gave F-16s to the Iraqi army?

This can not be due to US sensitivity to Pakistan as US is trying to sell F-16s to India.

It does not seem Ghani has Afghanistan's long term interests in having an advanced air defense and air force, and is just looking at short term and business interests.
