This is something you Pashtuns fail to understand: ethnicity is not important. Culture is. Afghanistan is ruled by Tajik culture and our language is the lingua franca. Since the media, the army, the economy, civil administrations,.. everything is run by Tajiks Afghanistan will always depend on us. We don't need to be majority. Our culture is already majority. There are plenty of Persianzed Pashtuns. Most of Pashtuns are fluent in Farsi. How many Pashtunized Tajiks do you know? Most of Tajiks will never learn Pashto.
Listen, Farsi comes from Iran, Fars region, Tajiks does not equal persian. You tajiks are mix of turks and arabs and aimaq who forgot their own language and culture and adopted that of the invading Persians. Your culture is not even yours to begin with.

Even abdullah a tajik had to pretend having PAshtun roots in order to win some votes in the elections LOL. The other canditates did not even reache 25%. You can not rule Afghanistan and will never do you will always need Pashtuns.

Thank but I don't need your approval. I know very well who I am. Unlike Pashtuns who don't know yet their origin and need to make up fake books like Puta Khazzana our history is pretty clear.

Most Persophones (excluding Hazaras) in Afghanistan and Tajikistan are Persianized East Iranics (which includes Pashtuns). They are natives but speak a foreign tongue (they cluster with Pashtuns genetically). The Tajiks from Tajikistan are Persianized Sogdians with some Turk blood, the Tajiks from northwest Afghanistan were originally Bactrian, and the ones from northeast Afghanistan spoke a transitional language between Pashto and Pamiri languages.

Southwest Afghanistan and the Khorasan region of Iran were probably also originally East Iranic as the Dasht-e-Kavir and Dasht-e-Lut are two large deserts that would separate East and West Iranics. Those lands were part of the Kushan Empire so they could have been Bactrian originally.

I am Herati and I know plenty of Pashtun Heratis but that does not change the Persian nature of the city basically because most of Pashtuns have fit into our culture.
Your an idiot the historic language of Kabul is sanskrit. Tajik is a fake ethicity they are just persianized east iranics. Persian is not native to any parts of Afghanistan other than maybe Herat.

Is there any truth to it?
Yes Tajik is a new label that was popularized recently. They were always reffered to as Farsiwan because they are East iranic persian speakers. The real Tajiks are Persianized Turkistanis, Sogdians, and Pamiris.

Great post you obviously know your history. Though I think it would be better to classify those areas as apart of Aria instead of Bactria.

Please, brother, mind your language. There is no need to display your caveman manners here. Keep it civil.

Historic language of Kabul for the last millennium has been Farsi. I have never met any Kabuli speaking Sanskrit. Farsi is the native language of Khorasan whether you like it or not. And you guys must speak it while we will never learn Pashto. Never.

Yes, it was a few years ago, things might have changed now.

Wasn't that just a regional identity well after the Persianization of the region? I've never heard of a language with that name.

Also, do you know if East Iranic was ever spoken in the Khorasan/Herat region? I'm not sure if it was, I just guessed. If one was spoken though, then it would have probably been at least a couple of centuries before Christ.

Aria existed since the Avestan period well before Persia was established. In Vendidad it was called Hariava.

The language of Aria was never specified however Strabo did mention that
"The name of Ariana is further extended to a part of Persia and of Media, as also to the Bactrians and Sogdians on the north; for these speak approximately the same language, with but slight variations". So maybe those regions from Aria to Sogdia may have been Persianized early on.

After analyzing the Surkh Khotal inscription Alama Abdul Hai Habibi came to the conclusion that the language of the inscription was the mother of Dari rather than Pashto.

Hahahahaha, that was hilarious. Who can people still consider Habibi as an "alim"?? The guy was an apologist. If you really don't want to be mocked you should come up with some more reliable sources lol
