In my opinion every person who speaks Farsi with Kabuli accent is a Kabuli. No matter his ethnic background. Honestly most of Afghans don't care so much about this Tajik/Pashtun BS. Its more like an online phenomenon. I know many Herati Pashtuns and never heard of them complaining about being mistreated or something. The average Afghan does not care about this. We want to live in peace."For thirty years, I endured much pain and strife,

I noticed that too.
I never seen any hate in real in life.
A lot Tajik/Pashtun intermarry.

Go ask where your grandfather was born or some relatives, and you will hear that they did not come from Kabul or the precent Afghanistan. Most will come from Tajikistan. Go on ask your family.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostWell brother you need to educate yourself. I mean seriously you are embarrassing yourself.
I was born in Shahr-e Naw in Kabul and spent most of my life in there. I know very well Kabulis. I bet you have never been to Herat or Kabul let alone Helmand or Kandahar lol
Anyway since our new ID´s will include ethnicity we will finally find out the ethnic reality of our country. No wonder why so many Pashtuns are against it because basically the myth of "Pashtun majority" is about to be debunked.

And how finding out the ethnic reality going to change something in Afghanistan? Even now Afghanistan goverment claims pashtuns to be 40-45%. So not a majority. Its only tajiks that shout and scream about being 70% of the population what does not make any sence.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostWell brother you need to educate yourself. So you mean my Herati grandfathers came from Tajikistan? Dude you are hilarious. Jami, Behzad, Abdullah Ansar, Shah Abbas, Hatefi,.. and so on.. where they all Pashtuns? lolOriginally posted by Khostai View PostGo ask where your grandfather was born or some relatives, and you will hear that they did not come from Kabul or the precent Afghanistan. Yeah it will shut the mouth Pashtun nationalists up for once and for all. Never heard of Tajiks claiming majority of the country. Our culture and our language is the majority in Afghanistan but our ethnicity is not. Afghanistan is a land of minorities.Originally posted by Khostai View PostAnd how finding out the ethnic reality going to change something in Afghanistan? Anyway it does not matter. Ghani will be the last Pashtun president of Afghanistan. After he leaves the office (lets suppose Taliban and Mujahedeens don't take over and they current status quo remains) expect a long period of Tajik rule in Afghanistan. I mean real Tajik rule.

I that the reason you dont want secular democracy in Afghanistan, despite being an atheist? You just want a dicatatorship that is ruled by a tajik and some tajik elite? LOL You tajiks are all the same, power lusty psychos, good look with ruling a country with being just 20% of the population LOL.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostYeah it will shut the mouth Pashtun nationalists up for once and for all. Same can be argued about Peshawar city, which has always been peopled by Hindki poeple in history, while Pashtun tribes were settled in its surroundings. I am not much knowledgeable about rural areas surrounding Kabul city, but i am sure big chunk of it will be Pashtun. You might not know, but the largest Pashtun tribe of its times , 'Khashi' or 'Khakhi (Yousafzais, Gigyanis etc), along with some other tribes , were expelled from Kabul by Mirza Ulugh Beg, the uncle of Babur (the Mughals)Originally posted by Firdousi View PostKabul is not part of the Pashtun nation, bro lol

Tajik is a vague term. Any one not Turani or Afghan, from Swat to Samarkand , were called Tajiks. Even the ancient Swatis, Dehgans, Gehbris etc of KPK, are called tajiks by historians. The word Tajik was initially applied to Arab settlers in Persian lands. Nowadays it means subjugated farsibans. Tajiks do not share same roots. and their temperaments are diverse due diverse origins, Kohistani Tajik is not same as docile Herati. In our Pashtun history, you will hear about Farmuli tajiks who had adopted Pashto language and culture and were most powerful nobles in Lodi dyjnasty. I have read that Farmulis claim to be originally Khalji Turks (not Ghilzais) from Khalj city.Originally posted by Firdousi View PostBecause most of Kabulis are Tajiks. Even the historical language of Kabul is Kabuli: Persian. Not Pashto. By being cosmopolitan does not change his nature. Every city of Afghanistan is cosmopolitan. I am Herati and I know plenty of Pashtun Heratis but that does not change the Persian nature of the city basically because most of Pashtuns have fit into our culture.
Many Pashtun clans also have become "farsibans"....so Tajik is very similar to Hindkowan of Pakistan.

The Kashmiri contribution to genes of Kabulis must be true, large number of Kashmiris settled in Peshawar and Kabul during the period when Kashmir was ruled by Afghans (from 1752 to 1819). I have forgotten the name of book, but a British traveler visits Kabul in early 19th century and reports large number of Kashmiris there. Just like Kabulis, a big segment of Hindkowans of Peshawar city has Kashmiri roots. Kashmiri Shawl industry bloomed during Afghan period, its shawls reached as far as Europe (Napolean wife had Kashmiri Shawl), so Afghan rulers encouraged kashmiri traders to settle in two capitalsOriginally posted by Khostai View PostA lot of KAbulis who speak farsi, are mix of Kashmiris and some Tajiks and Pashtuns, claiming Kabul to be dominantly Tajik is false. You can see on the ethnic map of Afghanistan that it is not Tajik dominated. And most Tajiks in Afghanistan are immigrants from Tajikistan who came to Afghanistan after the fall of Russian Tsar and when Russia became communist, thats why you will find tajiks mostly in cities, the same is also in Europe, you will find all the Turkish or Morocan immigrants in the main big cities, non of them have farms or land of their own. Thats why Herat city is surounded by Pashtun farmers only the city is full of tajiks, the same on other places of Afghanistan.

Don't worry to much about that. We will find out soon.Originally posted by Khostai View PostI that the reason you dont want secular democracy in Afghanistan, despite being an atheist? This is something you Pashtuns fail to understand: ethnicity is not important. Culture is. Afghanistan is ruled by Tajik culture and our language is the lingua franca. Since the media, the army, the economy, civil administrations,.. everything is run by Tajiks Afghanistan will always depend on us. We don't need to be majority. Our culture is already majority. There are plenty of Persianzed Pashtuns. Most of Pashtuns are fluent in Farsi. How many Pashtunized Tajiks do you know? Most of Tajiks will never learn Pashto.

Once a Pashtun told me that Yousofzais are originally Tajiks.
