  • What parts of Pashtun nation have you visited?

I have been to Jalalabad, Kabul, Laghman, Peshawar, Nowkhar, Swabi, Quetta.

I would like to visit Kandahar, waziristan, swat, Dir, Kunar, helmand.

We had picnic in Swabi close to the Tarbela dam, really enjoyed that, breathtaking views, enjoyed swimming in the streams, had amazing time there.

Where have u guys been to? and your favourite place?

I know Kabul city itself is not majority Pashtun but eastern parts of Kabul are definitely Pashtun majority.

Kabul is definitely a farsi speaking city, no one can deny that.

Because most of Kabulis are Tajiks. Even the historical language of Kabul is Kabuli: Persian. Not Pashto. By being cosmopolitan does not change his nature. Every city of Afghanistan is cosmopolitan. I am Herati and I know plenty of Pashtun Heratis but that does not change the Persian nature of the city basically because most of Pashtuns have fit into our culture.

I don't care so much about Pashtun or Tajik land. I am first an Afghan and then a Persianspeaker Tajik Muslim or whatever. This is our home and we have to fight for every single inch of it.

My parents told me Kabulis are something else.
              They are like a mix.

A lot of KAbulis who speak farsi, are mix of Kashmiris and some Tajiks and Pashtuns, claiming Kabul to be dominantly Tajik is false. You can see on the ethnic map of Afghanistan that it is not Tajik dominated. And most Tajiks in Afghanistan are immigrants from Tajikistan who came to Afghanistan after the fall of Russian Tsar and when Russia became communist, thats why you will find tajiks mostly in cities, the same is also in Europe, you will find all the Turkish or Morocan immigrants in the main big cities, non of them have farms or land of their own. Thats why Herat city is surounded by Pashtun farmers only the city is full of tajiks, the same on other places of Afghanistan.

They also said Kabulis are very different from regular Farsiwans.
They are like two different ethnicities.

Becuase Kabulis are mix of some Indian and the local ethnic group...and yes most of them even if they speak farsi are not tajik. Most tajiks who grew up in west automaticaly assume that everyone who speak farsi is tajik, but that is not true. Thats why you hear some people being refered to as farsiban, and not just tajik.

I also heard that this Tajik label is a new thing.
Farsibans never identified themselves as Tajik.

Is there any truth to it?

Its true that there is some differences between a Kabuli Tajik and a Herati Tajik. Its like a Pashtun from Zaranj and a Pashtun from Khost are a bit different.. still both are part of Pashtun nation. Same thing here.

Well brother you need to educate yourself. I mean seriously you are embarrassing yourself.

I was born in Shahr-e Naw in Kabul and spent most of my life in there. I know very well Kabulis. I bet you have never been to Herat or Kabul let alone Helmand or Kandahar lol

Anyway since our new ID´s will include ethnicity we will finally find out the ethnic reality of our country. No wonder why so many Pashtuns are against it because basically the myth of "Pashtun majority" is about to be debunked.

                            Okay.

But is there a reason why they are called Kabulis while other Kabul residents aren't ?

BTW if you speak Farsi, you live among Farsis, you live according Farsi culture,... then you are a damn Farsi. I know so many Pashtuns from Adraskan, Shindand, Torghwondi and Pashtun Zarghoon bragging about their "Pashtuniat" and their "Pashtun pride".. yet most of them can not even speak one word of Pashto. Its ridiculous. Pashtun nationalist need badly to stop with this.
