  • Most important question in the world?

Isn't this the most important question in the world "Who am I?"

Have you ever asked yourself who you are and what do you mean by "I"?

When and if this question arises, how do you feel?

I am a guy enjoying my tuna spaghetti with jelapino's on the side and glass of tap water wondering what the hell is Shapur on about.

What I mean by "I" is how I will be remembered by my friends, cow workers or family members when I am no longer present at or a part of their lives. What am I?? I am the expression that takes over my face when I walk away from the friends I have hanged out with all day. I am the love, kindness or loyalty I extend to my loved ones when they are absent. I am the principals that I will not compromise on the the ones that make me give up on things and people on an instant. I am that little spot beside the wall where I place my shoes when I take them off at the end of the day.

No matter how far back we hide our true selves behind masks or distances, a lot of it will pour out and leave a trail behind through our interactions with others through out our daily lives.

Interesting DZJ that you say we can't hide yourself behind a mask .

Most of us are told by parents/society to act a certain way, meaning we have to act and not be ourselves.
We have to pretend to be someone we are not just so that we can fit into the society that we live in and not come across as the odd one out. We are told to believe in things we don't truly believe in. Isn't that the source of misery and hypocracy to live your whole life pretending to be someone you are not. The funny thing is that most of us are not even honest with our selves and are comfortable hiding behind the mask and not looking at our naked selves as we truly are. Perhaps its too scary to be honest with one's self and accept yourself as you are with all your flaws.
As you said despite all this acting, your true self comes out in one way or another.

Btw this is a rhetorical question to provoke something, there are no right or wrong answers.

peoole compliment you often and sometimes it's genuine or sometimes it's because they want to appeal to that sense of yourself.. The ego part.. They know that if they feed it enough, you will do things for them or smile at them more often.. Or it's at the other end of the spectrum where people would try to convince you of the horrible things that you form your insecurities on.
I guess the key thing is not to take either one of it too seriously. I have personally found it very beneficial to from time to time, asses myself from the point of view of someone who did not necessarily liked me. When someone says something about you, whether positive or negative, dissect it as if you are hearing something that is being said of someone other than yourself. Have that sense of judgment within you for no one else's sake but yourself. So you can be an honest judge of whether it's true or not. This way you know what your faults are and what things are being said for the sole purpose of bringing down your self esteem or morale.
Emotional intelligence is something you develope a little later in life. You can tell when others are bull****ting you or when they know you are bull****ting them.

Not being a good or perfect individual is not as bad as not knowing that you are a bad person.
