But like i know a relative she married somebody arranged, but he was in the west and he used to drink and beat her, never used to be with her and she asked for a divorce. Now she lives with her daughter in council house, she is young as well

yea if u are willing u can make a relationship work (unless one side is extremely bad/stubborn/evil)...whether its by your own choice or arranged or watever, relationships working is upto both husband and wife. It can break when one side is unwilling to change
