if one adopts a culture it means its their culture too... it won't be unfair for those who are not pashtoon/afghan by ethnicity and live by the culture of pashtoons to feel left out? ... we should at least be positive about our culture being so wonderful that other minorities even adopted it.

no that is the process of assimilation... the culture is still the HOST culture namely pashtun....

its not politics... its about fact... its pashtun culture... there are pashtuns in different countries... One forgets about the sizeable community in Iran etc... not all call themselves afghan.... for the term afghan as come to take on a nationality based meaning as opposed to its original ethnic meaning

No the term afghan= pashtun I meant that most ppl associate wrongly that Afghans are tajiks etc... they are only by nationality yet the nationality meaning is more popular

Okay, I get you, but at the same time since Pashtuns are Afghan, the term still applies to us. Therefore, it's perfectly fine to say 'Afghan etiquette'.

the culture she reffers to is pashtun... not all pashtuns live in aghanistan not all call themselves afghan ( even though ethnically they are) besides she means afghan in a nationality based sense.... hence her meaning of afghan culture is wrong since she means it belongs to tajiks etc who have adopted the host culture which is PASHTUN
