alcohol consumption is very common in Pakistan. As long as there are ANP pathans, there is market for alcoholic drinks.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. ANP pathans are very religious. don't associate alcoholic drinks with them. the top boss may be alcoholic but this is their personal thing ,and in no way justify to quote ANP with alcoholicOriginally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View Postalcohol consumption is very common in Pakistan. a group and a movement is judged by the conduct of its leaders. I've seen Afrasiab Khattak getting drunk in Kabul. If the top brass are alcoholic, the foot soldiers are probably the same.Originally posted by marwat View PostANP pathans are very religious. don't associate alcoholic drinks with them. the top boss may be alcoholic but this is their personal thing ,and in no way justify to quote ANP with alcoholic
And if ANP are religious, their religious probably something else, not Islam.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

what you fail to recognize that consuming alcohol by a party leader has nothing to do with the party matters. where is the logic in it.Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View Posta group and a movement is judged by the conduct of its leaders. Afraisab khattak is alcoholic, you said that, do you have any single bit info related to alcohol consumption about other party leaders?

Are you seriously claiming ANP is not an alcoholic party? Many members (former members) of PF will feel seriously offended if they see you claiming they don't drink alcohol.Originally posted by marwat View Postwhat you fail to recognize that consuming alcohol by a party leader has nothing to do with the party matters. where is the logic in it.

ultra nationalist cannot be religious. if they are religious, I assume you mean muslim, what draws them to vote for a secular immoral corrupt party of fornicators and deceivers?Originally posted by marwat View Postyes and No, alcohol is something elites are used to. it's a regular drink to them , ANP leaders is as much alcoholic as other single party leaders are in muslim world. it's not fair to single them out.

I am not singling out ANP. I know for fact how they are like because I know them better than any other party in Pakistan. I can't say anything about other Pakistani parties. Although I have reason to believe in some JI guys are engaged in all sorts of immorality. But I havent seen any evidence with my own eyes.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. I have seen ANP leaders drinking too in a mehfil. Not just their leaders, but some of their student leaders and members attached to PSF also drink sharab in their rooms in hostels of colleges and universities. Surely not all of them, but it speaks volume about their approach to the matter. Overall Sharab consumption in Pashtun society is minimum, rare. In Punjab and Sindh, Sharab drinking is relatively more common. It might be, that some of ANP-walas are drinking alcohol and watching vulgar mujras to appear more "Secular" and "liberal".Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View Posta group and a movement is judged by the conduct of its leaders. That being said, even good practicing muslims can be "kafir" and "mushrik" if viewed from Wahabi lenses.Last edited by Samandri; 10-20-2015, 12:19 AM.
